I think that the Silver Age of Reserved List Magic cards from1995-1999 still have such a bright future. These cards are so powerful and so iconic and still so affordable compared to the 93/94 cards. Love seeing these cards on your list! I dont want to spoil it for anyone who hasnt finished the vid but so many Silver Age gems on there!

Not buying a whole lot of cards right now, as I’m focused mostly on picking Alpha cards I’m missing, and it takes a while to find the right price. Recent cool pick ups in the last few months: Alpha Demonic Tutor and Black Knight,. And since we’re talking Reserved List, a beat up Dark Pact.

Nice avatar, the art for 'Gaze of pain' always caught my eye when I would crack boosters back in the day. I wish I could afford opening packs like that again but time has moved on and so has the price!
It's crazy that people are just buying reserved list cards regardless of what they are and consider $7 cheap for an unplayed card. I remember about 8 or 9 years ago buying cards like Season of the Witch, Stone Calendar and a bunch of other unplayed, but cool reserved list cards. Like a stack of Season of the Witch, each costing less than 50 cents. The newly attracted, fresh-to-the-idea-of-finance collectors are funny to me
$150 for a $30 card graded a 9 is way too high, most cards graded as a 9 should be a 25-75% premium in MOST cases over the NM price. $150 would be like 500% premium thats crazy.
You might want to warn people that Rosewater's recent BlogAtog statement could spook people into selling the lower tier RL cards... I would hate to see you pumping RL cards only to see your fan base get hurt based on WoTC's recent reversal. Best CYA movement... just let people know it's there and it's their risk/decision on how to react.
@@EdwintheMagicEngineer Edwin you are the one that causes people to panic about reserved list cards. They are not going anywhere. Reserved list cards will always be more desirable. Even if they reprint some of the lower tiered ones as you put it, won’t matter, original will always be more desired. Card stock quality on new printed cards is not the same. The quality sucks. The real ones know and know not to panic.

Good video. What's your thoughts on circle of despair RL ? I loaded up on alot last year because I thought it would be a fun investment and may work nice with purgatory abuse to.
That thran thing is literally just a 9 mana brainstorm if anyone played that in a commander deck I would have serious questions. I know you love the reserved list dude But that card is beyond terrible its literally brainstorm for 9 mana but your opponent gets to put the beat card of the top three in the graveyard.
While I do agree the card is very expensive to use, it does put 2/3 cards into your hand without having to put any back on top of your library while also digging through the library more efficiently.. and you can repeat this process, not just a 1 time use. Also, in a graveyard recursion type of deck that 1 card to the grave could actually be useful. Just food for thought.

Doing a top ten 10 foils would be even more work Gut, it takes days of counting to get those all in place for the 2 videos I do lol I dont know if I can get another top ten in there in a 7 day period, BUT hey anything is possible let me see
