I drove my brothers old Yamaha YZF 750 to the bike shop were i tested the Rocket today.....holy what a friggin freight train. That thing pulls all the time so much torque everywhere.

OC: I would and have taken my Rocket 3 to the mountains and fast sweeping roads out around Vegas, definitely is better on the longer sweeping corners than tight twisties but you just have to adjust how you ride, especially since there's so much torque, it'll just pull you out of the corner with a ton of force. Picking your line right and body position makes a world of difference.

At last!! Someone who can ride corners on this Rocket. I have a GT but have fitted mid position foot rests as I prefer it for bike control & the ability to stand up.
Having watched many videos on the Rocket(s), most riders (especially from the USA) ride through the city, get on the highway, ride in a straight line, open it up in 3rd gear and giggle at the torque & don't even get into top gear. (GT owner, U.K.)

I have a 2007 Rocket 3 and have been all over those hills around Helen, the Dragon, and Cherohala Skyway. I got sideways in the curve by the dam at Fontana on the Moonshiner (28). It was easier before I went darkside. When the mech at Douglasville asked if i rode hard, he understood when I said it had Dragon scratches on the footboards. Lean angle has always been the limiting factor.

Hey Chase, maybe check your peg position, they are adjustable and can be raised by an inch, R has about 30 degs of lean and possible to take through twistier and not scrape tho most Rocket owners tend to smooth their pegs off, not sport bike (nor a Diavel) but much more than most cruisers etc, definitely have to muscle it
Rocket has long gearing in 5-6 and 70% throttle 1-3 and why 4th feels so good, 😎
Check out What A Day (OZ Rider) and he really hustles his Rocket 🚀
Quick shifter makes a big difference, makes shifts silk and really adds a sportier vibe to it.
If you shift weight off the rear then counter steer it works well, I often flick one way then turn in and helps to shift weight across the tyre 😊
Also re shake, tends to be more when engine not run in, and loosens off a lot with a few thousand on it 😊
I only ride mine in mountains, twisty roads etc

Been there, ridden that.. won't succumb to that brands' $$$-sucking tactics..). The Rocket 3 is a fantastic bike! Shaking above 3800 RPM? Thats odd. That needs to be looked at. Unless you were talking about it maybe vibrates a little more or maybe was a bit buzzy above 3800. Scraping the pegs...the more you lean your body the less you have to lean the bike.

What is it you want? It is a cruiser and very powerful. I own a 2022 Rocket 3G. If you want tight corners then try Cedar Point roller coasters Ohio or try to get a ride on a F-16 or F-22. This is silly. "It's scrapping, scrapping. It is not made for that. If you want Isle of Man TT then fly to England and get a puddle jumper to the island and rent a sports bike. And BTW it doesn't make ice cream or donuts in case you think it should.

i know it's probably obvious to some of you, but the technique in riding a cruiser is completely different than a sportbike. you're going to set up for corners differently, use a different line, throttle and brake different. of course you're going to be slower, but speed and handling isn't the real goal of a cruiser anyhow. i've taken several big cruisers and baggers on technical roads. if you're on a date, for example, you don't want to scare the shit out of her. just enough excitement to get her blood pumping, while still knowing she's perfectly safe. cruisers are perfect for that.

'Scrapping pegs' on a bike doesnt really mean anything, for one you're scraping the 'angle sensors' aka bolts attached to the peg and if you think going around corners at 70mph is slow you may have to rethink the way you ride completely
