    Awesome video. What type of paper do you like using? Have you ever tried stonehenge paper for graphite and how have you found it?

      yes Stonehenge is what I used here. Excellent paper!

      @@sameer3392 legion or printmaking paper, it has very smooth surface with out being slick so it holds the medium, pencil, charcoal, chalk are all great on it, you can even treat the paper with inks, its vert versatile.

    I have never been successful at not getting that shiny burnished dark areas. Very frustrating.

      Use a full range of pencils, as you make areas darker grab a softer darker pencil. Also developing the habit of a very sharp pencil tip and using a light touch, built up over layers help as well. I myself had to learn NOT to be so heavy handed when drawing.

      @@careyalvezartschool thank you for sharing that, I will practice that for sure. I definitely have not been keeping my pencils sharp as I go softer, and usually only to a 4b.
