We did record the sound, however there was operator error, sorry...
You are assuming that everything was put through the PA -- in this case only vocals and accordion.

As I understand it, cars only had 4 gears in those days and if it's alluding to a person, I don't get it in that sense either. It's a super fun song though, in any case :)
