    Brought the lovechild in the 7/6 length. Love it, one of my favourite boards super fast in hollow waves as a quad but also rides nice as a single fin and sits in the pocket well

    Took me the entire video to realize you are the same guy who did some van videos I watched a couple of years ago. Just picked up the same board this weekend. Traded my G&S longboard for one at a local shop (Wilmington, NC). Thanks for the review.

    Eager to hear the "after waves" report. That's one of the boards Im intending to include into my quiver....Just need a push to whether decide me...or not, and buy a thinner board! thnks

    I made the same experience as you with my 6.4 Love Child (I am 6`0 and 175lb). Easy to paddle, duck diving works, wave count up in the sky and also in solid Surf a nugget.

    Bought this board 6 months ago and it up’d the wave count and rode well, it did get pressure dents on the tail area very easily. Went out on a 6-8ft day and the leash plug ripped out, the board smashed on the rocks and was damaged pretty bad. Modern and the local O’Neill surf shop brushed the issue off and didn’t care at all, not even to replace the leash plug! The repairs would be about half the cost of the board.
    It’s worth the cost to get a local shaper or a non local shaper that will let you order and ship it to you. They will stand behind their work, take pride in their product and not leave their customers hangin. Stay safe, be logical and keep surfing ;)

    Just like the fellas below, I'm curious as to your thoughts on the board after riding it. Thanks in advance!

    This looks like the perfect board for me, I have a 6’8 channel island flyer right now that I can ride but is a little loose for me and turns too quick and I like going out in smaller surf so I’m thinking this will be a little more stable for me and faster on paddling which will be great

      Try a different fin setup on your CI before throwing it in the wind ! What boxes does it have / what do you run?

    It's a pintail made in Thailand. Meaning it will surf stiff in smaller waves. They are ok, but they dent relatively easily. Especially under your feet positions as you move up-and-down the board. This one is a bit too expensive to be a bargain. You can get Asia-made boards cheaper. But it's ok for what it is.

    Super fun board. Wave hog, seriously. Turns decent. Ride it as a quad. Good in 2 to 6ft. Unfortunately....shit construction, will warp/delam if treated rough. Falls apart/dings easily. But for the price you can buy 2 for the price of one high quality board. Up to you.

    Hey mate, thanks for posting this love child review. I have one on order at the moment but have read some poor construction and durability reports online since I made my order. Have you had a chance to surf it yet? I’m interested to know if you found that it performed as the manufacturer claims and how durable you found the top deck to be. Cheers

      adrian yee - almost bought one....until I picked one out of the rack in Perranporth recently. Really thinly glassed, if I’d squeezed hard enough I would have punctured the skin. Great shape but huge question marks over its durability

    Can I ride this board with only two fins??

    • @joeblow1942

      Sure, but I would use big MRs with a small trailer or nubster.

    Do not leave the shop without putting the fins in first. Gave me the wrong fins. Lol.

    Are you kidding? 6 minutes without one wave shown riding the board,a SUP and what is clearly not this board. what an absolute hoax. This guy probably doesn't even surf. what a kook.

      Who's the kook? It's a review only.....check out his follow up before you post derogatory comments. Do you even surf? Kook.

      Hilarious response. You think this is a good review where they are actually riding a SUP while reviewing a totally different and mass produced chinese popout surfboard. How does that even make sense. You are deluded if you can even consider calling anyone alse a kook. I was in tears laughing at the review and thanks for extending that experience.
      Even admits he hasn't ridden it only its spray looks good. Yep, that's why you buy a board.
      Ah, I just realised this must be a troll and wasted my time replying.
      Good luck to anyone using this review as decision tool.

    • @uniform20echo
      @uniform20echo 4 роки тому

      Settle down.....why did you watch it? If you say it's a Chinese pop out board you obviously aware of the board and its origins......why watch it? Just trolling were you?? I'm laughing my ass off at you......go post your BS comments elsewhere.

    • @uniform20echo
      @uniform20echo 4 роки тому

      And I stand by my comment.....Kook. You wasted everyone's time writing your shit......Who's the Troll here?? Have you surfed this board??.....Yeah, well piss off.
