Stephen's lack of camera awareness always cracks me up.
Lol. He literally doesn’t care. 😂😂
I figured he REALLY doesn't want to be on camera!
And then he scoots to the center to correct it, but his head is still off camera. Cute.
I appreciate you being frank. The cost of olive oil, the saltiness of the wings, these are factors in choosing which recipes to make.
7:40 You can totally save that oil for later! Some people strain it and re-use it, but I usually just throw it straight in salad dressings since it has all those fat-soluble flavors disolved in it.
silly david. you just introduced another grading rubric. IS IT WORTH THE CANKER SORE PAIN?!?!
Logan Paul saying doctors are idiots after trying to sell energy drinks to kids is probably the stupidiest take of the year
lmao that oil joke. also sohla has a chicken wing recipe with the overnight dry brine and baking soda oven bake and it's the best method i've found for crispy wings that don't waste oil!
@10:28 Tom & Jerry ?? Haha
David! Get some Hello brand toothpaste! It doesn’t have sls like a lot of other toothpastes do, which stops canker sores from healing. I used to have sores when I was a kid, they’re so lame!!
To add to this, sensodyne and pronamel tend to also be SLS free, regardless of what brand of SLS free toothpaste you look at it's very important that they include fluoride. That said, not all canker sores are from SLS. It took me years to discover that NSAIDS (ibuprofen, naproxen, aspirin, ECT) can also cause canker sores. Keeping your mouth rinsed with Listerine and saltwater alternatively will help reduce the duration and pain of the sore and, anecdotally L-Lysine tends to reduce the duration of canker sores for me.
Sensodyne helped me a lot! Used to get tons of nasty canker sores, switched toothpastes and now they're rare
I usually do the overnight dry brine then bake like Kenji Lopez-Alt does. Maybe do the dry brine from the last recipe with some baking soda but skip the confit and batter and the skin won't get sogged out after.
Hot wing with a cold sore is a bold move.
I would have just done dips or ice cream desserts lol
Id love to see copycat recipes challenges for common favorites from restaurants!
I wish you picked your Tasty favorite and compared them to others..."Who has the best wings?"
I know what you mean about balancing up all the different factors - just saying 10 minutes versus 60 isn't enough because there's effort, skill, passive time and cost. The 10 and 60 minute ones definitely felt/seemed more alike, just one slightly scaled up but the one day ones felt so extra and like a whole other thing entirely in terms of evaluating it.
I mean, it’s Tasty’s original video and recipe so, not much to do about that.
You always make My day david! Huge fan! Your tasty videos made me find you and you have been even greater since🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉
God bless you all 🙏😭
God bless Aaron Rodgers 🙏🏈
God bless President Trump 🙏🇺🇸
General rule for dry brines is to wash it off then pat dry before continuing on with the meat, your instinct would've probably helped make the last set of wings way less salty.
Anyone reading this when you are coating anything like a chicken wing in a dry rub the best way to do it is in a gallon ziplock bag and then shake it for 100% coverage every single time
David, would you make a video showcasing your favourite breakfast, lunch, dinner and dessert?
555K Followers and 500 videos posted! Congratulations!❤🎉
I think it would be interesting to try a recipe from tasting history.
YES! LOVE these videos david! Thanks For bringing them back😊😊😊😊
hope that canker sore heals quickly!! that being said, wings are pretty much always worth it for me, though I might avoid the spicy ones until it’s at least partially healed 😂 great video as always, and a perfect way to start my weekend!!
after all these years hes still my favourite recipe tester, lots of love David, thank you!
u should try 1000 hour chicken wing next, but u need to use ur freezer for like 990 of the hours
Is DoorDash like Just Eat in the UK - add 25% to the prices and then charge delivery on top!
Being from the South, I'm more of a college (SEC!!) football fan. But I appreciate your loyalty!
I js refound your channel. i missed you davey🥺🥺
only creator that i actually watch the ads for, nice doordash sponser man congrats u deserve it 😊
Does the confit process destroy the olive oil? I know garlic confit results in the whole thing being delicious and usable. Quite sad if this isnt the same.
The raw chicken makes it a no go, there's no guarantee it won't make people sick.
@euphie2 is it not cooked to a high enough temp to eat?
@@euphie2 by your logic, you shouldn't eat cooked chicken because it was raw before ...
David can and should keep all that oil, must be pretty tasty.
@@euphie2That's not how that works lol the oil is going to reach a higher temperature than the chicken, it's perfectly safe to eat.
Look, I'm not against a door dash sponsorship, but claiming their goal is to 'grow and empower local economies' is just lying to your audience for profit.
The goal of DoorDash was never to empower local economies, it was just to profit off of them.
David, I love your work. Please be choosier with your sponsors. I was one of the people that spoke up when you went back to better health, and speaking up again now. DoorDash may not be quite as evil as better help, but they're not meaningfully better.
I get it, get that bag, But you can do it in a way that does not lie to your audience. I'll come back next week if the ad is not as morally bankrupt as this one.
I wonder if he's talking about Tom and Jerry? Any human is just shown from the chest down...
Also, my grandmother's wings are literally the best. Take about 3 days to make, not that anything is too hard, but it sits in the fridge marinating for 2-3 days before you bake them. They get so sticky. They're delicious! Also, if you're trying to keep wings warm for a big group, throw them in a crock pot on the warm setting after making them. Keeps them the right temp for hours.
I love the baking powder and oven method! It’s the only way I’ve made wings. But now I’ve got a Ninja 10-in-1. Any tips?
Chef John has a great baked chicken wings recipe! I’ve gotten many compliments using his recipe 😊
YESS GET THAT DOORDASH BAG
Canker sores are so annoying. My tongue seems to have a mind of its own and wants to touch it all the time, making it worse. Also that's interesting you chose hot wings while you're struggling lol. I love the "worth it," though. Was so surprised David splurged on the good olive oil for the confit. :s
i always expect the one w the most effort to win, this was a shock
I feel like what I'm looking for in the time vs videos, is whether you think it's worth the time investment or not.
Does the short recipe still adequately scratch the flavor itch with the minimal investment? Is it worth it to take the time to do the recipe right? And is the premium quality interesting enough to try if you're really feeling up to it?
He did say so
Whoo! Buzzfeed! Back to basics!
#1 - Why the heck would ANYONE use Olive Oil to confit? #2 - Why would ANYONE use olive oil for anything asian?!?! Better hope uncle Roger doesn't hear about this... smh. Should have used canola/ghee blend.
The entire internet has been wondering why anyone..Jamie Olive Oil…would use olive oil for Asian food.
Honestly the last wings look as nice and the first wings so you know which ones im gonna make lol
J. E. T. S.... Jets Jets Jets! This is the year!
Please test more home wing recipes to crown the ultimate
Not Stephen going on about Tom & Jerry 😂
The mayonnaise plopping out was so uncalled for
Oo love a door dash sponsor!
Stephen is always a highlight! Love you David! You're amazing 🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉
“I didn’t know you were filming me???” Oh sweetie, why else is he asking you to taste it? 😂😂
Love you girl! (And your clueless boyfriend!❤)
I completely forgot that the Giants have one playoff win since their last Super Bowl
I live for Stephen’s cameos😂❤
I always wonder how many of those “100 hour foodthing” videos bank on no one having the time, energy, and money to repeat the recipe themselves and discover that they’re bs 🤷🏻♀️
Wings in the US look so hench compared to here in the UK
I think the rating ultimately should come down to was it worth your time. If I, the cook of said recipe, spend x amount of hours, was the final product worth that investment? I think you nailed that perfectly all these years!
I only use olive oil to finish something. Cooking in olive oil is such a waste because the flavor never carries over. You could have just used a basic vegetable oil.
Love your channel! From a fellow Jets/Mark Sanchez fan!! ☺️💚
Good grief, that 2nd recipe had sooooo many ingredients LOL
Do u still work with glasses company? Does it work in Canada?
love you man
Chicken wings are my favorite food. I hope you make more chicken wing videos
only way i can think of "rating" these is blind taste test them with somebody else (after you try them). if they don't rate them short -> long = worst -> best. then the times not worth it
I don’t really get wings. You get sauce everywhere, the bones are annoying and there’s not much on them.
It used to be considered waste from a chicken and was rarely eaten until I think, someone started making them as almost an appetizer in a restaurant to avoid waste and they blew up ever since.
one word: orajel! 😬 canker sore will disappear overnight
Blue cheese >>> Ranch
Air fryer 💯
Holy shit I haven’t seen one of your videos in years
Beier Corners
I'm starting to think this is just an elaborate scheme to get your groceries written off as business expense :)
I prefer cauli wings 😅
Saw wings clicked like!

Us niner fans are in deep deep depression 😢
If I had to wait a day for chicken wings, I'm going to have something else to eat. They're not worth the wait, especially when they turned out soggy and salty.
Buffalo wings go with bleu cheese, not ranch.
Wos-ter-sher
Gd sry you had to suffer through eating maybe one of the worst foods for canker sores 😢 thank you for the content tho❤
I really love your vids, but I'll follow you even if you change your content!

God bless you all 🙏😭

Coca cola is on the boycott list. Please consider switching brand. Not pepsi! Or buy generic that doesn't give to Israel!
I honestly don't get wings. It's the most worthless piece of meat on the bird. There's so little meat that you eat a dozen and get less food value than you would from 2 thighs. The fact people are so enamored with wings that they cost more than thighs and drumsticks is just the absolute height of how dumb trends are. Spend less money and make your party a fat batch of drumsticks instead and you'll be doing everyone a favor
Love your videos✨❣ I get canker sores and I have a killer cure method. It’s easy but a bit painful. Wet your finger and dip it into salt. Then press your salt covered finger on the canker sore. It smarts like a b*tch but it cauterizes and cleans the sore and will speed healing. I hope you feel better ❤🩹
