The bypass switch is used for programming and also when the reverse lights are needed and the machine can not be in reverse. Example, if you need to connect a trailer and you place the machine in park.
I've got a 2017 RZR 1000 XP w/EPS & Ride Command. Based on the install video, I don't see the same connection / interface point on my machine. Additionally, is it possible to just buy the wiring interface separately if you already have lights & a manual switch set up? *Is this interface pulling the Reverse signal from the CANBUS?
Hey Shawn, from what I can see on the micro, all the 2017 RZR 1000's have the "SWITCH, ROTARY 2 PIN RESISTIVE". Give the office a call when you have a moment and speak to tech support. They should be able to get you on the right path. Unfortunately, we do not sell the wiring separate. It does not use CANBUS.
If you have a multimeter, you will need to find two pins on the new switch that have continuity when the switch is on position and no continuity when the switch is off. If you are still having issues, please call the office and we can help you out.
Why does it have a switch, if it is auto-sensing?

After I got it programmed with the switch included I tried using a nilight 5 pin rocker switch but it is not working, any idea why? Thanks!

@@PowerMadd_Official I got it to work, the only issue is when I turn the switch on the lights in the switch go off.
