- Pilots of a MH-60T Jayhawk helicopter at Coast Guard Air Station Elizabeth City provide an informational up close look at the multi-mission, twin-engine, medium-range helicopter that is used for search and rescue, law enforcement, military readiness and marine environmental protection missions.
Coast Guard Air Station (CGAS) Elizabeth City is one of several commands located on the campus of the Coast Guard Base Elizabeth City. It is co-located at Elizabeth City Regional Airport in Elizabeth City, North Carolina, along the Pasquotank River. The Coast Guard air station is instrumental in leading the region in search and rescues missions. It is also one of the busiest in the U.S. Coast Guard, operating missions as far away as Greenland, the Azores and the Caribbean.
