Thank you so much for this video. I have been fighting with my Tulipa sample book on and off for monthstrying to unscrew the bolts, but not able to get a purchase hold. Seeing you tug at an angle was a revelation. I am now ready to make the handbag set I promised my mother. Thenk you.
I love pulling apart sample books as well.I’ve used the top plastic for tracing and cutting odd shapes....as for the hard board,I lightly pad one side of the board as if upholstering a chair seat, then cover it and use it for an ironing board for small projects plus I keep the hanging cord top on. Works great. Also makes a cute gift for a crafter. Love all the bonus fabric...yahoo! Happy sewing!
You got some good ideas love the way you think I am obsessed with sample books I love them I have just finished cutting 336 squares for making a quilt from this book my arm is killing think I have pulled a muscle lol 😂
This video is so useful, I have one of the books with the wood, but there’s tons of glue so I’ve struggled to get some of the fabric out and have had to cut others out of the book, but I have no idea how I can melt/heat the glue safely to remove the fabric. Can you help?
If you've ever made anything with the boards, I'd love to see it. I have several myself that I've kept but never quite come up with a plan for.
