- The Duke and Duchess of Cambridge visited both the East London Mosque and London Muslim Centre in Whitechapel today, where they met with volunteers who have played an important role in supporting members of their community by helping to deliver warm meals, food and hygiene packs and medication to the most vulnerable.

@dndn dbdnd the royal wedding brought in more money for your country in tourism than you spent on security. They make your more money than they cost you in fashion and more. You need to look at a bigger picture.
@To Be Honest well, they could move to another country and take their jobs with them, throwing 200 to 500 people out of work, plus the cleaning contract, the HVAC contract, the IT firm etc they were paying to keep the company running, so yes, exactly that. The more they do for you, the more leverage they have. That's business. See, you're getting it. Good for you!
People go on about tax payers. But the pleasure they give to individuals on these visits and the good they do by their patronage’s of charities is well worth the little bit of tax it cost any individual. My tax that I have paid all my life goes towards lots of things that don’t benefit me directly but I’m not moaning about it.
@To Be Honest at least they stayed here to still work none stop unlike just call me harry and madmeg took it and ran they should not only pay for frogmore which they supposedly have but the farce of a wedding too.

Oh yes, so reminiscent of the Diana photo. Times are a little different now and maybe even the Queen won't be so upset or angry about it. One thing we can be sure of is both women did this innocently. Wish it were always that way. It's also kinda nice to have a little smile and remembrance of the innocence during this time of constant bad news and that in time things will get better and all the "news" can comment on something so minor in the world to fill their air time. The sunlight is up to it's naughty tricks again. She should have worn a slip..though I guess she never thought about that happening. However, both of them are very gracious and their caring hosts showed them an informative time. Well done all round!

I saw that someone said that they like Catherine a little better than Meghan but then Catherine was born into a aristocratic family. I thought, she sure has fooled you because she wasn’t born into an aristocratic family! But that just shows how well she’s done in her position as future queen. Should the masājid close under the current circumstances?
According to the law and current government guidelines, places of worship are allowed to remain open during the current lockdown. Hence, in view of this, the masājid should remain open whilst strictly adhering to the precautionary measures outlined by the Government.
What if a masjid does not have adequate volunteers to manage the safety measures?
It is imperative that the management exhausts all avenues to facilitate the safe opening of the masjid. Serving the masjid and those attending it is a great honour for Muslims; hence they should be encouraged to volunteer for this noble act so that they may become a means of fellow Muslims reaping the benefits of attending the House of Allāh ta‘ālā. The importance of keeping the masājid open cannot be stressed enough and the masjid management should facilitate this even if they have to incur costs.
The masājid remaining open whilst the number of Covid-19 cases continue to rise is causing anxiety amongst some members of the community. Should this be considered?
There are two aspects to consider;
Firstly, from a logical perspective, there is no data to prove that the masājid remaining open has been a cause of any significant rise in the number of Covid-19 cases. Furthermore, outlets providing essential needs and services have been kept open and any potential rise of Covid-19 cases due to this has been tolerated. For Muslims, the masājid are also an equally, if not a greater essential need and this has also been recognised by the Government.
Secondly, the masājid are sanctuaries of safety and serenity for all and a means of the Blessings of Allāh ta‘ālā descending upon the community. The masājid contribute to spiritual and mental wellbeing and they are places of solace and tranquillity for the distressed. Furthermore, it is our belief that attending and spending time in the masjid will be a means of Divine protection. It has been reported that our Beloved Nabī ṣallallāhu ‘alayhi wasallam stated: ‘When a calamity descends from the sky, it is averted from those who frequent the masājid.’ (Shu‘abul-Īmān)
Therefore, the current circumstances advocate a greater need for the masājid to remain open

Ey up, mi duck. The effect of Catherine's dress to appear see through lasted for about five seconds while she entered the Mosque. Once inside no sun, therefore no sunlight... Problem solved. So I am sure those in the Mosque wouldn't have been too upset about it.
The Duhess of Cambridge should have her hair trimmed or wear it up, she doesn't look regal , also a petticoat or slip should be worn as nothing is left to the imagination.
