    Very nice comparison video. I like how you did the quick test. It is tough as sometimes you pay for the better product and sometimes you pay just for the label so it's good to know which is which on some of these things.

    I have a few EHEIM 1264 and 1250s. Love them. Waiting for EHEIM to walk into 2020s and start producing DC controllable pumps.

    Can u share the heat produces by both eheim and after market brand?

      @TheArowana12 4 роки тому

      Well this is very subjective answer. Well definately eheim produces more heat due to higher operating wattage.

      @@TheArowana12 Not really it is an easy experiment to do, just measure the temp. before and after. Just get bigger containers.

    Get a larger bucket or container, take a 6 foot hose and attach it to a ladder and then see how they work, then remove the hose from the pumps turn them over and let them run in the container and measure the temp of the water before and after 6 hours and see how much warmer the water is.

    This is an old vid.. but im just curious about your test.. the sobo pump i believe has an adjustable flow rate.. was it on max during the test?

    A better test would be to submerged the pump in a larger volume of water and then let the pump water into a bucket.

      @@TheSimpleAquarist I telling about my decision. I just start setup SW tank. I was thinking to get eheim. But after several consideration, better to get good lighting 1st. 😅

    • @TheSimpleAquarist
      @TheSimpleAquarist  4 роки тому

      Yup agree rerftank try not to save on lighting. I did that mistake as well many times. I suggest you pick higher pump rating x10 if you going to use sobo as you know the loss on flow is alot.

    China Pump..........flow rate at least cut 40 ~ 50 %............test 1 pump 800 LPH.........drop to 300+................hard to choose correct flow rate
