Ras in this season is goat, he transmits a really dark energy to the series that makes the season feel to have the most important stake on ninjago since at least sons of garmadon
Explanation why Riyu didnt boost anyone:
1) As of right now, it seems he can only boost Tech powers and all dragons are basically just tied to one elemental power they can boost.
2) Sora's power depends on technology. If there is no technology around or lack of it, there's not that much she can do.
