Hey, I've been watching all your videos. Thank you for sharing all of this hard won knowledge.
I can actually make sense of ur videos compared to others I've seen, ty and keep up the good work,
Thanks for another great one
Solid video man, great video for folks to learn from. :)
gotta give you credit and thanks for this one, i followed this to the T, took notes and had to use some brain cells to understand the compare file part of the driver demand tweaks you presented. With my stock '14 5.3 with only an air intake, this tune update on top of the dod del has completely changed my truck from sluggy and tame to spontaneous and immediate out the hole. Which is a lot safer for me coming out of a stop, or entering a busy road. I like the idea of pulling the variables from the 17-18 too, I used 2017 driver demand variables and it was the same numbers for copying. Next i plan on doing the trans tuning from your 6l80 video, but for now i'll be enjoying and observing this tune update.
Always learn something new from
your videos. Thanks
Cool Matt. Thanks again from a novice non pro tuner! 👍🤛
Thank you for all the content you provide. I know this is a GEN 5 video but I have a 2011 Silverado 3500HD 6.0 6L90A E78 and after watching your GEN 4 video I found that my stock file is different than the GEN 4 video and has tabs found in the GEN 5 video like Driver Demand under TQ Management and the Enable Torque table under PE. Should I use a combo of settings from both? Enable Torque table to 0% to only use throttle enable, and set TQ Management Transmission TQ Mng settings and Driver Demand tables using the GEN 5 settings?
Just have to convince my buddy to let me get in his ecu now
Can you show how to do a berbal tune on gen 5?
And injection timing
Matt i got a turbo chaged cadillac it started as a N/A car how do i smooth out the violent bucking at 3k as the turbo starts building boost ? I have a mpvi2 its a e80 ecm
Hey i have a question ive seen several people say that you can make custom tune files on hp tuners for the edge cts3 how would that work because i am genuinely interested thank you.
Yeah that guys truck seems pretty wild
On the driver demand table, is the VSS expressed as km/h or mph? You say km/h but I find when logging that the delivered torque seems to line up better to driver demand if I interpret VSS as mph. This is on an E92 ECM chevy tahoe.
Matt what's your take on the Torque Management settings on the Trans side? Previous tuner set my torque factor to .75. Wondering if I should set it back to 1.0.
So much for following along when you start copying from a compare file
hey man followed this to a T and it puts the truck into reduced power mode 2015 5.3
Then you made a mistake somewhere.
Make sure you got the correct Predicted normal and Predicted tap. You want Increasing not Decreasing. We had a problem where tap sent it in to limp, turns out i hit the Decreasing Tap table.
I had the same problem, write the tune once complete. Turn off ignition, open the door go get a snack. Come back clear any codes and start the truck. You should be good to go.
A little hard to follow with a tune file we dont have to compare with.
Why don't you up the enrichment rate?
DI engines don’t have Transient issues since the injection cycle is happening in the cylinder. Most people that increase enrichment rate will actually cause a rich condition on tip-in which will cause visible smoke, could cause additional burst knock due to DI not liking rich conditions, and it won’t offer any performance gain whatsoever.
@@Matt_Sanford Thanks. But is it ok to do it on non DI engines?
@29auto30 This is specifically for Gen V trucks which are DI.
