Hi guys! Love your games and lists :D I think that nowadays, the 10 Tesla Immortals + Plasmancer are sort of a must in Canoptek court. Wraiths being tanky but not killy means we need some other source of damage. I tried 20 immortals (Gauss and Tesla) with Plasmancers, and CRYPTOTHRALLS :p Plus Szeras hanging around them. They become actually super hard to kill and can chip down anything, making them an exceptionally reliable infantry core for my lists. Cryptos might seem overpriced right now, but with Canop Court Immortals they become quite the amazing meat shield. That's +60% REGENERABLE wounds for your immortals when you think about it, it's pretty awesome when you consider the damage output they can have in this detachment.
Been playing Ynnari because tyranid meta was so boring but now synaptic nexus with 2 Norns, swarmlord and neurotyrant with 6 Zoey’s is calling my name. Create a nice little kill box and force my opponent to concede primary with that OC 15 in two different areas.
@@BiggestDefilerFan in synaptic nexus you have access to reinforced hive node, and imperative dominance for the 5++ . The point isn’t necessarily for him to live but to soak up as much attention as possible from my other units. Once the assimilator and emissary make it to their destinations they are almost impossible to move. I like to keep a maleceptor nearby. The -1 to hit aura is insane. The only thing I worry about are monoliths, knights and leman Russes. Just overwhelm the middle of the board with OC man. The game plan is win primary and not allow your opponent to sneak in the secret mission card
a really good BatRep, so as always with you, you're doing really well. And even if it hurts me as a Tyranid player, the Necrons look really good with these colors. Keep doing what you're doing and get 10k subscribers. greetings from Switzerland
Tried out this list at a tournament yesterday and it did exceptionally well. 3-0 at a 27 man RRT, Lineup was Sisters, Invasion fleet, and Tau. Took second. If you happen to see this comment, what are the venomthropes in the list for? They pass out cover and are a little annoying to shoot at, but I never found myself really using them. Except to occasionally sit on objectives.
Great to hear! The Venomthropes in my opinion are a odd ball in the list. I use them for cover on the blobs or Tyrant Guard and Pyrovores. They Stealth, Cover and and Potential 4+ FNP make that Pryrovore squad unkillable. They are also good for random actions. But I agree, they could be swapped for something better, haven't figured out what yet.
@@maelstromgamingstudios5240 thank you for the fast reply. I think maybe Dropping them and the neurogants for a 3rd psycophage could be a plan, I also think dropping the heroic intervention for 0 upgrade in favor of the +1 might be the tipping point for crushing claw tyrant guard and a str 11 bonesword is nothing to sneeze at.
Just a quick question/Clarification: Did they Update the Swarmlord must be your Warlord to have the Malign Presence? I'm at work right now so I cannot actually look to see. But I could have sworn even with the update he has to be the warlord to use the ability.
At around 20:10 did i undersant that right, after the precision strikes killed the character the rest of the attacks can go onto the bodyguard unit? Or what were those 4up safes for.
Awesome batrep. Not trying to nitpick but just clarification, please correct me if I am wrong. Around 18:20 when HT epic challenged the technomancer. When precision happens, arent you rolling against the toughness of the bodyguard instead of the attached character? Wraiths got T6 while techomancer got T4. With HT's attacks and the +1strength from synapse should be wounding on 3s instead of 2s? Might not matter overall for the game, but at least I be aware on my future games. Thank you.
You are totally right there! That was something we slightly messed you. Even though you are still attacking the Character, you use the units toughness.
@@maelstromgamingstudios5240 also wouldn't it be flavorful if Epic Challenge also actually allows the enemy character to have precision as well for its swing back attacks so it actually feels like a duel. Albeit, the enemy has to survive first to hit back.
Seems like for each terrible roll Craig had on the last 5 reports he got a good one on this one and that explains why everything ended so fast lol. Btw Connor, not sure if it's the first time you play a necron army with those colors, but they look insane, they give me the vibes that they just awakened in a world like Dune and just emerge from the sand to fight. What paints you used on them? Happy to see the Nids buffs performing well on assimilation swarm
Haha it did feel like that! This is the same Necron Scheme Connor has always had. It's an easy scheme to paint. Primer/ Base Coat: Army Paint Skeleton Horde Detail metal parts- Any metal color Cover Bone in Agrax Earthshade- VERY Important to thin the wash a pit, don't just slap it on. Then pick out the back and blues. It's a very fun and easy scheme to paint!
Surprised you don't run at least one Haruspex in the list, just did a local tourney with Assimilation Swarm and throughout he was my model of the match. I often threw him on the middle objective turn 2 and kept him with a 4+++, even though he lacks an invuln the feel no pain rolls and healing meant he was just outright obnoxious to remove.
Normally in Assimilation swarm I would have at least one, maybe 3. But the Double Tyrants + Guard really take up a chunk of my points. I want to learn into that theme. I think a Tyrant + pair of haruspexes is very good.
@@maelstromgamingstudios5240 I probably should have said I also had the double tyrants + guard, granted I had to drop an exocrine to take one though. Overall I had less range power but even more tankyness which this theme just plays into so well.
I think they're quite useable just as wounds for the swarmlord and foot tyrant which have become actively good now they are str10 and the buffs to their abilities (free strats, vect aura) also, since assimilation swarm regenerates one infantry model, they are the best model you can bring back at 4W T8
You nailed it. In ANY other detachment I wouldn't use tyrant guard often. But in Assimilation swarm the ability to bring back multiple T8 4W models can be pretty good. Having the double Tyrants allows me to maximize my CP usage, the Tyrant Guard allow me to get them up there in the Midfield to cause havoc.
I'm really loving the production value in these battle reports now, keep up the great work guys! :)

You are correct!
When there is, let's say, a unit of 3 Pyrovores, could I heal 3 separate Tyranid units or only 1?
Each Havester UNIT can heal A unit. So a unit of three can only heal one other unit.
When using epic challenge it goes off the toughness of the unit which would be T6 and not T4.
100% Correct
What are those transparent footprints 😮 and where you got those other pieces of terrain? Just discovered your channel as a new Hive enthusiast!
