Just a gentle reminder that Brett was insanely beautiful.
Still is
So weird,I played this in the car this morning. i couldn't see him,but I thought it.
Brett has matured very nicely alright!
Just a gentle reminder that bernard is the greatest guitarist to ever live
@@FeelGoodInspiration it is live. 100%.
Bernard Butler remains the most underrated guitarist of his generation. What he plays is technically pretty simple, but the way he does it... I think... well, you're either born with it or you're not. I can play all of Suede's best stuff note-for-note on guitar, but even after thirty years of playing I will never get close to sounding like Bernard Butler. I still love them, but Suede were never the same without him.
I don't agree! Suede are much better without Butler!
@@sunny70299 And??? It does not mean I prefer this era! I am a Suede fan since a very long time and my opinion is what counts for me! I am just happy Bernard left... What is the problem? I am not forced to agree with you and you don't need to share my point of view!
Underrated but very, very influential
Very Melodious song..
No other guitarist like Bernerd Butler.
Underrated ..
Just at the point of going stellar, they were on fire at this stage. Bernard was / is such a naturally talented guitarist; plays the instrument like he's talking through it.
Absolutely. Bernard's melodies are pure beauty and they seem to come so easy.
My Lawdy, what a spot on description of Bernhards great instrumental gift!
How does Bernard make it sound like there is an ARMY of guitars on here?! 🎸🎸🎸
Gibson Les Paul guitar and looks like he is running the sound through 2 amps. Hard to tell as Butler knew all the tricks so there might have been something else in the mix too, like a pedal or 10...lol
@@TheGrandmasterMan Bernards fingers and his technique, he seems to be able to fill in gaps between chords with stunning licks and riffs :D
The most beautiful days of Suede. And the roots of suede. Suede is divided into before and after the third album Coming Up. The most beautiful time of their early appearance.
Brett is effing gorgeous. ♥️
Thank god they put this on the So I Married An Axe Murderer soundtrack so I got hipped to the band in 1993. I may have been the coolest 8th grader ever...
One of my greatest dreams is to see Brett & Bernard performing together once again (The Tears were good but I want more)
No need because suede are killing it at the moment !
@BLUEROOMEXITPRO As is Bernard, who is the one who just got nominated for a Mercury. But that's irrelevant. Their respective success without each other doesn't satiate the desire to see them united even if just for one show.
Suede were the complete package. They had the talent and the image. In some respects it’s better they never became as commercially successful as Oasis or Blur. They have stood the test of time better. Those who knew back then knew they were something special.
they were named the best band in UK in 1992.
Brett was in the peak of his beauty. What a band, what a song!
The brilliantly melodic bass lines ... and not one close-up of Mat?!
Mat is great but Bernard’s playing was great there; hardly looking at the guitar, making movements which would typically hinder playing. The flair was unreal
Ikr
One of the best musical groups in one of the best TV shows. I would love for both to be better known and more valued.
Bernard Butler is an incredible guitarist
That first shot as Bernard drops his head to the side, then leans into the guitar like the melody is coursing through his body....
Mind you, isn't it odd how there's not a single shot of Mat in the whole thing?
Brett is beautiful and an amazing front man love him seen him so much in concert over the years 😍😍😍😍❤️🇻🇬
Brett is always absolutely beautiful.
😘❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️
I love you Brett❤️
Weird to be here again after so many years have passed, but this band was my first adolescent crush and i cannot forget them.
No one ever spoke with a instrument ever like benard
Johnny Marr and Robin Guthrie.
I'm surprised the image quality is so good.
1993! I’m surprised it’s in color!
HD filming capabilities were invented in the 70s. We've just been weaned it like the peasants we are 😄
@@NiKOliDANBURSKi just because it was invented doesn't mean it was implemented, or cheap enough to implement for widespread consumption. Did you see a VCR when they were first sold and how much they went for? A mobile phone? A computer?
cool. keep uploading legendary performances to official channel please. the next should be animal nitrate brit awards.
oh, that is THE PERFORMANCE. the moment that suede became legends and basically scared the entire establishment and old guard.
Miss u so much SUEDE 😭
Despite falling out and leaving, I've always viewed that Bernard has always belonged to Suede. This lineup was spectacular.
beautiful and sexy Brett, I love him on stage
There are not many poets brave enough to rhyme Leotard with Retard. I'd do it.
I remember recording this on video at the time, they also played So Young and Next Life on that episode of Later
The guitar Bernard butler is playing is 1980 Gibson les Paul standard
deluxe version!
He used that guitar to record Animal Nitrate on.
@@thejacquoranda yes its pictured in the first album sleeve in the studio, also used 12 string rickenbacker for that song to double the chord progression
It's a bit more special than a standard.
It's a Les Paul Heritage 80 (1980 being the year it went into production). It was the first attempt by Gibson to make a 1959 reissue, as opposed to the specs Gibson Les Pauls had in 1980.
Oh wow I needed this video right now. Good music always takes the pain away.
I cant love Suede more than i do. This videos refuel my soul!
PD: Brett and Bernard, damn boys, what a dúo!!!!
I hear you no two ever did it better
Fuck yeah you are good people
want to say a BIG THANKS for all the music u give me!!!!
Bernie...❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️
Incredible, early days Suede was lightning in a bottle
Dude, I love this band so muuuuuch 💖
Such a beauty! 😍
Wow! Great great vid 😍😍🙌🙌🙌🙌
I'll always love this band.
I've always wondered if Radiohead heard this song/performance, that riff at 1:59 is the kind of guitar they'd be doing loads of on their next album The Bends
Johnny Greenwood was definitely influenced by Bernard on The Bends. Whether he has ever publicly acknowledged the influence or not I don't know, but it's not even subtle
Even more. The game with the atonal strings in asphalt world is even in kid a style
А всё же он торчал! Как собака бешенная! Жёлтый цвет и черный круг.🤭🔥⛪🔥
Te amooo Brett..las ganas de verte.
Amo tu voz.♥️
Happy Birthday Brett...I❤U 😘
Hermosa canción y recuerdos!! El show de jools holland Saludos desde argentina ☝️😀👍🇦🇷
love this
Dog Man Star is so cinematic they should turn it into a dark and moody musical.
Best band ever
love love love
Love it! Got to see them and it was Amazing live!
❤BA&BB❤SUEDE😊
Anyone remember how if you signed up to their fanclub, you’d get invited to a free annual gig?
Good times.
Belíssimo.
BB was happy !!!
Me encanta esta canción ❤️
Imagine how great Suede would have been if Bernard had stayed 😢
Bernard is a guitar God but to me they've been equally magnificent with Richard
They were better than the beatles with him and one of the greatest ever without him true rock n roll tradgedy
RinaldiACHTUNG No one can say that coming up isn’t fantastic album but then for me quickly starting running out of ideas if Bernard had stayed they wouldn’t of done.
Well there was The Tears....
Richard was amazing, but let's be real, Bernard was unmatched.
Brett, tu luz me ciega ❤❤❤
הוא עדיין יפה. 💕
💜
💜💜💜💜
So Fucking Good!!!
I ❤️ brett
I have a suede tattoo above my right tit.
Thanks for the memories.
My beautiful days with suede...
Unbelievable range and vastly different songs. No band alike this now.
かっこいいいいい
❤
😍
una buena rola.....
Brett and bernard the god twins
❤️ till the Sphinx winks!
I like Bernard's rocking
Criminal that this was resigned to a b-side and non album track
Fuck i just love Suede 👌🏽
I am 14 and I can't believe I am watching this
Amazing band eh? 🤘🏻😁
1:24 👏👏👏
Suede.
Bernard looks like a fckin thunder birds puppet 😂
Wall of sound.
Cameramen hate bassists part 153
😂
Bernard was such a troll
I never got into suede, definitely a British-only britpop band
They’re pretty well loved worldwide.
Butler was a virtuoso guitar player, not really the mould for Brit pop. Suede’s lyrics were anything but Brit pop.
@@ziggypop79 Graham Coxon, John Squire, James Dean Bradfield, Mark Day and Nick McCabe are all also brilliant guitarists.
That was a pathetic round of applause at the end
distortion
isn't one guitarist misssing?
It always amazes me how shit the sound mix is on Jools Holland. Bands always sound kinda/sorta how they should live but the drums and the bass always sound like absolute bollocks.
Shit paracetamol
