    Ordered a set of gloves after seeing your review and a few others. Absolutely fantastic, I suffer from white finger and now can keep on riding and not have to stop every 25 miles to warm my pinky up. Thanks and they are CE rated, CE mark is on one of the tags.😊

  • @tomordr

    Are they heated down the backside of the fingers or only palm side? Makes a big difference.

  • @bren106
    @bren106 2 місяці тому +4

    Looking at the diagram on the Iron website there only appears to be minimal heating elements on the back side of the glove, with most on the palm side. What are they like on the back, or outer, side, which is the more likely to be subjected to cold winds while riding?

    How do you know if they are quality?
    Do they carry the CE rating?
    Quality for me is based on longevity and proper materials.
    Give a review after a month of using this product and as far as material is concerned, any gloves made in a textile is never as good as leather.
    Two things will hit the road first, your head or your hands.

    Hi, these gloves seem pretty good. Are you able to tell when the batteries are charging/fully charged (via a green - red indicator light or something similar) or is it just a guess by charging times ?
    PS. Following this and your previous video I was going to remind you that Scotland also gets cold, wet and miserable weather until I saw the post from the Canadian biker , proving that relatively speaking, we in the UK mostly have to deal with "inclement weather". Already been out in flooding conditions and just above freezing. Roll on spring 🌞🏍️

      @@user_78637 I would always advise riders not to buy bike safety gear off the internet , chances are it could be fake poor quality tat even though it looks the part . Always best to go to a proper motorcycle clothing dealer & look the kit over first hand even if it costs a few bob more .

    You’re the second UA-camr I have seen plugging these heated gloves. Like the other tech gubbins they appear to be doing the rounds. Looks like it’s your turn to help them flog a few pairs . I don’t use heated stuff myself , but at least these gloves have their own batteries . The thing I would question is how they would hold up , to the forces involved in an RTA , as against a pair of good qualify normal motorcycle gauntlets .

    The Audio quality is fabulous on the bike, you can hear every mechanical movement in the engine, its so good if you were riding the new bmw 1300gs you would not hear you talking, over the top end rattle, which i believe is twice as bad as out going 1250gs.

      @timparish172 Well know fact, noisy top ends at low rpm started with 1200LC,s 1250,s got worse, and 1300,s on a different level, obviously bmw engineered it into them for durability at this stage. Many documented cylinder head replacement on 12,s and less on 1250,s, but it's early days on them, let's see how 1300,s fair.

      Heated grips are good, but heated gloves are way better

    • @sergentcolon1
      @sergentcolon1 2 місяці тому

      @ depends on the gloves, battery ones have bulky cuffs ( I have a pair) and wired ones require connecting and disconnecting every time you get on or off the bike and I’d forget every time, so for me heated grips are better, no need to remember to charge or connect, and less hassle to put gloves over your jacket. I also have a set of Goldtop windstopper lambswool gloves which together with the heated grips keep my hands very toasty.

    • @mikey_bb
      @mikey_bb 2 місяці тому

      @sergentcolon1 ergonomically yeah I agree they can be picky, but the same goes for heated grips. In terms of actual heat output & the coverage of heat, good heated gloves beat good heated grips every time

      Trading Standards and the Office for Product Safety and Standards have recently intervened and another Chinese brand’s heated motorcycle gloves have been delisted from Amazon’s UK site because they had not been independently tested and certified as required by law since April 2018. That Chinese brand had retained a UK-based PR agency to contact journalists and UA-cam influencers to offer free gloves in return for a review.
