James Bay is this breath of fresh air coming from the green lands of Hitchin, not too far from London. Aged 23, the British singer and songwriter draws his inspiration from various artists such as Miles Davis, Bruce Springsteen as well as his compatriot James Blake. He delivers songs of pure emotion, mixing delicate folk, soul and pop-rock notes.
If you are lucky enough you will see him performing at the prestigious Glastonbury festival, or opening for Stevie Wonder’s concert in London and for Hozier’s American tour.

I put on this song in my car when i was driving back from the funeral of a childhood friend. « Once upon a different life, we rode our bikes into the Sky ».... it made me cry like a baby. I really think the tide of the river is time. It talks about people being separated, not because of some dispute, just by life , and the regrets it causes when it’s too late

I am in love with him and his song.
his voice is just divine
I swear every time I find a live performance of this song he does it different somehow and I always love it. I currently have 5 versions of this song on my iPod and I think this will have to be number 6. He usually goes all in for the vocals on this song like 110% even on other "acoustic" versions, but here he actually holds back on his vocals and gives the song a much softer touch, even slowing down the tempo a little. I really like it! I just never get tired of this song.

+Jeremy Punzalan they record the audio seperatly, the clap is there that it gives a peak in both audio channels so it's easy to match up the seperate audio with the video. Hope that makes sense ;)
