- Kala Ramnath, the extraordinary Hindustani Classical violinist, performed Raag Basant with great feeling and sensitivity at the FEA-curated Gayatri Festival 2016.
She was accompanied by the marvellous and immensely gifted Pt. Yogesh Samsi on tabla.
She is genius....
I can't even start to imagine all the years of hard work and dedication behind this fine performance....

Such a wonderful performance.
Instrumental is puremost form of claasical songs.
She is mixing western technicality with Hindustani melody especially her using and holding the bow.Its just fantastic
This makes everyday life fade away.

Love this duo, and nothing like the bhaav emanating from the very first alaap, viraha, and then it grows to happy spring, beautifully put together. this composition has so much viraha bhaav. I search for Kanha rangva na daro, seems like kanha left some melodious memories.

This performance is pure classical as there is no amplification which is often used in today's violin to get different sound. Tnx for the music. Blessed r we to listen to this performance

Superb. Quite similar to tune of basantbahar(same raaga) song of ketaki gulab juhi by great Shankar Jaikishan and Pt. Bheemsen joshi.
This is proper basant.. basantbahar is a mixture of raag basant and raag bahar

This sounds like Miyan ki Todi
James 1984 except that it uses shuddha Ga instead of Todi's komal ga. This is a spring season raag, you must know that anyway.
No is is clearly not miyan ki todi
