- Kala Ramnath, the amazing Hindustani Classical violinist concluded her recital at the FEA-curated Gayatri Festival with a performance of Raag Bhairavi.
She was accompanied by Pt. Yogesh Samsi on tabla.
She has a special devotion to Bhairavi. I have listened to many of her Bhairavi recitals, it has never been anything other than sublime each time.

It takes you to different realms. Raag truly describes the pain of separation from Divine.

Kala is vidushi of north and south. can't make out her roots. She is softest violin player. She will carve India's name in world of music!!

Bharaty Shastriy Sageet adbhut haai.
Her playing here sounds a lot like the singing of Pt. Bhimsen Joshi to me, but perhaps this is how every elaboration on this particular composition in Bhairavi sounds. Beautiful, no matter what.
