So I don’t see a lot of people mention this, but while Linda Blair hosted Scariest Places on Earth, the “creepy witch voice” was actually the late Zelda Rubinstein, who narrated the show. If the name doesn’t sound familiar, she was the small psychic lady Tangina in the Poltergeist movies. I’m not sure if she had a specific condition, but she legit just talked like that.
*Takes off glasses. Pulls messed up hair out of face.* “This house is clean.” Love Zelda Rubinstein. Absolute legend. I’m surprised more people don’t recognize her voice, as it’s very distinctive.
There are a few shows out there that similar in nature. The first one to come to mind is called "The Real Hustle" where they candidly record exploitive confidence tricks being carried out on the public. The show's premise however is to educate the public so that they can better recognize when they are being a victim of fraud/theft. Trying to shield the public from negative things can backfire by keeping people ignorant of the risks involved. Don't get me wrong, ignorance is a much more pleasant headspace, but it can also leave you unprepared to deal with unknowns. To teach people how to avoid or conqueror challenges they have to learn to recognize them. That includes petty revenge.
Okay but I also want to point out they use the Bible as a reference for getting revenge, but the Bible also has the verse “revenge is mine saith the Lord” which literally goes against the entire movie

needless to say, mr bean has ungodly amounts of luck therefore he can avoid consequences for his actions pretty easily cutting a hole in a wall of his hotel room to access his neighbour's bathroom simply because he didn't have one which could be easily talked about with the manager? wasn't mentioned again driving a car overfilled with the stuff he bought on black friday by sitting on an armchair mounted on top of it and somehow not crashing and getting injured? no worries, the one and only constable in the area was too flabbergasted to do anything and the truck he crashed/drove into had a comically large pile of mattresses inside it

As a European millenial, I always thought the 'Red Scare' thing was played up for movies, but they seriously used 'sign them up to the Communist party' as a threat?
Oh yeah, it was real AF. People would literally go 'I saw Goody Procter at the Devil's Sacrament' to people they didn't like. People lost their jobs, got kicked out of their homes, were even put in jail. Thanks Sen McCarthy
in all honesty they probably play it down in the movies, it got so bad that just wearing a red shirt could have you branded a communist and ostracized from the community

Didn’t know this but any tampering with mail box’s is automatically a felony so saying put stuff that isn’t mail isn’t legal
I LOVE your descent from "Oh this is just a joke video" to "WOW THIS IS LIKE ACTUALLY ILLEGAL" lmao
Seeing you talk about how you can't give this advice and then IMMEDIATELY get to the "immigration services" bit was amazing
"Who says you can't put more than mail in there, huh?"
Literally, the United States Government.

I see I'm not alone. Me watching you be sick and laugh as I am being sick and laughing.

There HAD to be a disclaimer saying that this was all fake/for comedic purposes. There just HAD to be. Great reaction as always, get well soon!
Feel better, Lauren. Also, nice Death Cab shirt
Thank you. And Thank you.
Isn't the woman who did the voice over on scariest places on earth the same woman from poltergeist, the little psychic woman?

11:35 I mean, when Mr Bean wants to be an asshole, he can really become one lol
Fair enough, I suppose. I usually think of him as being...a bit more bumbling than actively attempting to cause problems

It was absolutely not "played up for movies."

Communism works.
As long as I get to be one of the rich people on top.
You should really go to immigration services for free health care.
