  • Is St Paul’s Bay Malta worth visiting? 🤔
    Hey there,
Join us on a nostalgic walking tour as we revisit the stunning St Paul's Bay in Malta, and its coastal towns of Bugibba and Qawra.
For us, it really was a trip down memory lane, as we made Bugibba our first home abroad after leaving our homeland of Australia to begin our life of travel, and now, we're excited to see how this beautiful area of northern Malta has changed.
So whether you're planning a visit to St. Paul's Bay, Bugibba or Qawra, or just craving a virtual escape to this beautiful island in the Mediterranean, our video has got you covered.
It may also provide some insights for you into what it's like living in Malta, and possibly answer the question: is Bugibba a good place to live.
    Highlights shared in this video.
    Walking Tour Along The Promenade
Starting from Bugibba in the morning, we take a relaxed walk north along the promenade past Wignacourt Tower, then back along Mosta Road, before making our way to Bugibba Square. In the afternoon, we continue the walking tour south to Qawra and make a stop to take in the scenery of Salina Bay.
    Bugibba Beach
We share with you the crystal clear water of our favourite Bugibba swimming spot where we would cool off in the afternoons.
    Bugibba Square
The main square of Bugibba, where you can find a variety of cafes, restaurants and bars along with easy access to Bugibba Beach.
Make a Stop To Enjoy One Our Favourite Maltese Snacks
The Maltese Pastizzi was probably our most savoured snack during our time living in Malta.
Sunset From the Rooftop Bar At The Seaview Hotel Bugibba
After a beautiful, sunny day walking the promenade, we head up to the rooftop bar of the Seaview Hotel to enjoy a drink and take in the stunning sunset over St Paul's Bay.
    Salina Bay
We share with you our favourite swimming spot in Qawra.
    Bugibba Nightlife
After having taken in the wonderful sunset over Malta, we go for a late-night stroll to check out the Bugibba Nightlife.
    And much, much more …
By the time you finish watching this episode of our Malta VLOG, you'll see that there's so much more to St Paul's Bay, Bugibba and Qawra than just the busy tourist areas.
So, is St. Paul's Bay worth visiting?
    Absolutely!
And finally, if you’re asking "Is St Paul's Bay, Qawra and Bugibba safe?", from our personal experience, we would say yes it is generally safe, but as everyone has a different perspective on what ‘safe’ means, we’ll leave it to you to do your own research and decide for yourself.

    Lovely video
It brought back such happy memories for me too
The Sea still looks so inviting
I would love to know which month this was filmed in as it looks just how I prefer it: not too hot and not overcrowded
    Thank you for sharing

Thank you for watching! Yes, the sea, right on your doorstep, is the one things we absolutely loved during our time in Malta. To answer your question about when when we filmed this video, it was in mid-October so not as busy as July & August.

I'm heading back for my 5th visit next week. I'm an Aussie who has lived in the UK for 20 years....I'm deciding on Malta or Montenegro for my next move which should be this time next year.

Hi. Great to hear you're revisiting for the 5th time as an Aussie based in the UK. We've just spent some more time in the Balkans and absolutely love the feel of the region. We visited Bucharest in May and have just finished a trip to Tirana. Haven't made it it Montenegro yet however it is on the list for next year. Would love to hear what you decide on for you next move though. Feel free to keep us updated! Thanks for watching. 😀

What time of the year did you go as weather looks nice. I’m coming in June. Been there before years ago but will be first time for my wife and 2 daughters.

    • @AntonandBella
      @AntonandBella  4 місяці тому

Our visit for this video was done in mid-October. When we were living on the island we were still swimming up to the start of December and then would start up swimming again in April, so if you're planning a visit in June the weather should be very comfortable. We did find that August and September were the two hottest months for us, and also the busiest due to school holidays. Feel free to post any another questions might have and thanks for watching! 😊

@@AntonandBella thank you. It will be our first family holiday/honeymoon. First time in Malta for them think it’s 5th for me. So June would not be too warm. We are staying at San Antonio in Buggiba/qawra. You can get like the weekly bus cards from the airport can’t you and I can easily pay for them with my bank card? You still live in Malta?

    • @AntonandBella
      @AntonandBella  4 місяці тому

Wonderful to hear that it will be your first family holiday/honeymoon!
DB San Antonio is a lovely resort.
We've eaten a few times at the Indian/Moroccan restaurant at the resort called Tajine.
We think you'll really enjoy yourselves at the resort.
The area heading towards Qawra has also changed a lot in recent years so lots to explore when you're not all relaxing!
As for the public transport, the main Buġibba Bus Terminal is very close to the resort so we suggest you always leave from this terminal as the buses fill very fast and you may not get a seat if you catch it at a stop further along the route.
There is also the ticket booth at the bus terminal where you can ask to purchase the Explorer Cards.
You can also visit: www.publictransport.com.mt/en/bus-card-and-ticketing for more info on ticketing.
      Hope that info is useful!
And to answer your last question, we no longer live on island as we're still very much exploring the world at a nice slow pace, and currently we're in Australia visiting family.
Wishing you and your family a wonderful holiday!
