(The reason why I say clothes and not dresses is because there are different types of traditional clothes that are different from dresses) Plus the color white is still more used for funerals rather than weddings.

I’m not Indian but I’ve been to their weddings...these are not their wedding dress...Their wedding dresses are much more elegant n beautiful.
Indians have minimum 500 different wedding dresses by their traditions. They wear sarees, lehengas, skirts, salwar kameez in different states. So much variations in their clothing.
Blue dress is just a bollywood version. Blue is not a typical wedding colour.
We have a loooot of different varieties....so many cultures, and hence a lot of different kinds of wedding dresses....Westerners think that the only culture we have is that of a part of North India...

In India itself, there are so many different cultures and tribes and none of them look like one another. Everyone has different bridal wear and traditions. If they actually wanted to show everything, they'd have to use the entire video and more just to cover India. (But I don't think anyone wears BLUE!)

As an Indian I would like to tell you guys that blue dress children wear on weddings 😂 Indian culture is really diverse and unique.. even if bride is from underprivileged family they don't wear such dresses.... traditionally sarees at most of the states .....with henna (Mehandi) on hands and legs.
And we Indians love gold Indian women carries 11% of total gold present on planet it's approx. 21,000 tons .
After all Wedding is really important and special day of every bride's life

You guys to need to watch behind the scenes. It’s ignorant how you guys just assume ONE person made this video and bash him for getting dresses “wrong” or didn’t get a specific country in the video.
There was a whole group that he worked with. He worked with actual wedding designers from every country. Literally an Indian wedding dress designer made those dresses. Plus, he couldn’t get wedding dresses from other Asian countries due to a money budget from BuzzFeed. He was actually planning on making a video about wedding dresses across the world but that would cost too much. Do your own research before you bash someone’s video and hard work.

As a Vietnamese person, I feel so proud that our Áo Dài is being praised by so many people in the comments! My family often wears them for special occasions other than weddings as well, and there is an Áo Dài for men too xx

I’m Asian so I understand everyone’s concern on this comment section but can y’all just appreciate that one man did this all on his own? Also y’all shouldn’t get pressed about the dresses not being fancy enough this is done on a budget they can’t spend the price on an actual wedding gown and also the fact that they can’t include every country and ethnic group unless y’all want be sitting here for an hour.
India cannot be represented by a single piece we have so many cultures living together, not just one!
I'm South Korean, and the "traditional Korean wedding dress" didn't fit the model right at all. The cut on the top half of the hanbok is wrong as well.
Same goes for Indian one!! They have shown wrong dress!!!

There was a behind the scenes for this video. Eugene didn't have a lot of time to actually get all the dresses so they had to narrow it down to what they could get quickly.

I get your limitations with budget and video time. . . But India is like Europe, each state has its own dress and culture. Southern brides tend to wear sarees of different styles and lengths while northern brides wear Lehengas like the one shown here and in Northeastern states brides wear dresses similar to Southeast Asian brides.

for everyone complaining about not having x country in the shoot:
1) get over yourselves
2) it says across Asia and not EVERY country in Asia. (i could complain about not having an Arabic inspired dress/es)
3) they had 1 week to shoot the video with preparation and all so they couldn't get dresses from everywhere.
4) they did great with the budget they were given.

Keep in mind that if this video stays popular enough and gets enough requests for more!!!, they may allow Eugene to do a follow-up video. Asia is a HUUUUUUUUUUUUGE place. I would also love if they might include modern and traditional fashions in Africa as well. (If possible, I know that's a tall order for limited time and budget.)
