There are usually more tools but it's early in the season. The one I head to down south of me is a little town with probably a dozen antique shops year round. And twice a summer they hold festivals where it's football fields worth if vendors. I'll try to get footage when I go!
Thanks Joey! I've found some of my favorite axes at this market. It indeed was a woodslasher. I didn't get very good footage of the label bit there was enough left to see the TrueTemper woodslasher. I almost picked it up bit thought it was slightly too high for flea market price. Now I'm kinda wishing I did. If it's still sitting there when I go back I may grab it.
@old_iron_axe_and_tool yes and no. Since it's a bunch if booths by various vendors that are essentially un-manned they are not there to haggle with typically. The person working the desk and cashing you out can call the vendors but said they typically only do it for higher price tag items. So for the cheaper stuff like hand tools I either am OK with the price or pass. When I go to the flea market festival each summer all of the booths have vendors and you can try and talk them down.
@Nsvens89 I see. We have a similar barn market. It takes half the fun out of picking! I enjoy a little haggling. Gets the blood flowing. Better to argue over money with a stranger than with the wife!
I definitely agree. I've gotten some really good deals at this place before better ones can definitely be found at garage sales and other places. The nice thing about is is the number of vendors all in one location. It's easy for me to check out a lot of stuff with limited time. I'm definitely looking forward to the large antique festival by me. Its football fields worth of vendors all with tents and whatnot. I've scored some fun axes in past years there.
That's a neat idea for a video. This is my favorite thing to do on my days off besides working on tools. There were a couple decent woodslashers in there. Did you end up getting anything?
Same here. I have another place down south of me that holds a big flea market festival in the summer. I'm looking forward to it. I didn't pick up either of the woodslashers (full size and hatchet) they were slightly too high in price for a flea market for me. But if they are still there next time I go I may cave and grab one haha. I bought the loose TrueTemper head and the cleaver that were in the video. I gave a closer look in my most recent "It Followed Me Home" video. Thanks for watching!!!
Haha you willed it into existence. We're over 600 now 👍 I wondered how mad the wife would be if I came home with that suit if armor in the back of the truck haha.
Don't be afraid to talk explain were your going what you see and then go over anything you bought. Hey there was some axes you did not look at lol. Like it keep it up. Darren
Thanks Darren. I definitely picked up all the axes and checked them out. The the full size ones in the video were either in very rough shape. I'll try to do some talking next time i do a walk though. Didn't want to sound insane walking around and talking to myself haha
Hey John thanks for checking out the video. I covered the axes I picked up this trip in my It Followed Me Home Episode 8 video. I will toss the link below in case you are curious. ua-cam.com/video/kLFWFHx0T44/v-deo.htmlsi=WsnkTVl22cuRE1CW
Very nice roadside flee market. They have some decent stuff. Wish we had more places like this around here. Thanks for taking us along.

Very nice stuff at that market. Sadly it’s slim pickings my way. Was that a Michigan Woodslasher ?

@Nsvens89 can you make a lower offer there?
