Yes the new Hyundai 120 is a Great looking car. Its the best in the segment and it will be. It looks stylish, sporty and sharper as well. Its bigger in size to. The new i20 also come lot of features like a 10inch touchscreen, fully digital cluster, and more. Okay, here's the thing. I love the way the car looks, I can't complain about the features. Hyundai is reliable and plush. But, even when a review is trying to praise it for what it is - there are red flags. Like the top of the dash, the quality of the plastics on the door console. Atleast let us, the user - feel that upmarket niche bit.
Well the price bracket is the BIGGEST thing that can't be overlooked 😅 Really really tough one when you can get bigger and kinda better at this price range
Why do you feel it could have been lil more premium with a Dual Tone! Might be subjective, but the best interiors are colored in Black. I do agree on plastic quality part, but hey.. it's Back 😎
yeah the turbo petrol might be great fit with the chassis but small engines with turbos dont last, they wear out a lot quicker than naturally aspirated ones.
Always loved Volkswagen and other international brand like Hyundai untill I bought TATA altroz I feel more safe now and feel my money was spent wisely .....
Having seen the car just in the photos & videos, I believe that the dashboard could have been more premium with its plastic and the dual-tone colour or the coloured vents. Overall, i20 has no comparison when it comes to satisfaction in the ride quality and how the car manages to handle sharp turns.
considering this i20 is based on nios platform and which has got 2 stars in safety rating, it wouldn't be a surprise that i20 is or will be less on safety too. And people who are searching or want a hatchback Altroz is a more sensible choice for them in every aspect.
Also the new i20 is 100 kilos lighter than the outgoing model. Hyundai is literally footing Indians with the phrase "high strength steel". This car will not get more than 3 stars in GNCAP.
I hope Hyundai correct the prices...its too expensive... I will buy and Breeza or Nexon instead...but as always great reviews.. congratulations for 2 million mark...
We expect you guys to speak up about safety too considering the NCAP ratings of Hyundai and Kia cars recently. Encourage people to focus on safety as a deciding factor as it's a very important issue but nobody cares about it.
The problem with so many features is sometimes important ones are omited. My 2014 Hyundai i20Asta for example did not have a distance to empty read. Which i would have counted as a basic feature. Edit. I did not like it (2021 i20) at first. But now i kinda do. Not a fan of the back though. My i20 has a sick back with fang like tail lights.
I really love hot hatches. I follow any video on the internet which showcases the mini cooper, civic type r, focus rs or a golf but to be honest the i20 is not a hot hatch. It is a barely pushing the sporty mark but still priced similar to that of the entry level Creta. The top model swift or polo gt is a better option.
I don't really think it looks ugly... It looks decent, but the only dissapointing thing is that Hyundai hasn't bought it's sportier N trim here. If they do, I would love it.
This is an excellent first ride review Ajinkya. But I could really see your face saying "No, it is not worth it", even while you were recommending it hand over heart.
The more I see of Raunak's work, the more I like his way of presentation. One of the questions I wanted to ask was about the refinement levels. Does the 3 Cylinder Turbo petrol match the refinement levels of the 1.2L Petrol?
Here's the deal: The top model is Asta (O) - with Sunroof. i20 Asta (O) 1.2L Manual costs 10.4 Lakhs (On Road - Delhi) i20 Asta (O) 1 L Turbo DCT costs 13 Lakhs (On Road - Delhi) I am hands down a huge huge fan of this car and will emotionally buy this one and I have the budget for both - but do you think the difference of 3 lakhs is worth it for Turbo 1 Litre with DCT? With absolutely same features inside?
Idk why they don't offer an actual manual instead of an iMT on the turbo. It would get the price lower an do better justice to the engine too. Plus it feels like an actual enthusiast's car with a manual and not pretentious like the iMT. They could've offered the iMT on the regular 1.2L engine tho.
Nice review.. Since only 30K difference is there, Which is comparatively better I20 DCT Asta (O) or Venue DCT SX+ in terms of drive , handling, suspension, features, safety and value for money ?
I think the companies need to brainstorm what they want to offer at this price point. I would easily pick one with a more premium feeling cabin rather than surrounded by a bucket loads of gimics.
No matter what the hefty price tag is, it's gonna sell like hot cakes.Great Review PD team!!👍 Big Fan here and also Big CONGRATULATIONS FOR 2 MILLION 😎🙌🙌
Hatch backs have a charm of their own and I like the way it looks and the features list too but for me Altroz is better because its a better drivers car.

Always loved Volkswagen and other international brand like Hyundai untill I bought TATA altroz I feel more safe now and feel my money was spent wisely .....
wow sir editing mai jo kaam krte ho koi nahi krsakta esi editing 💥💥👏👏👏
Arey, shukriya Tarun ji!
Apart from the video, now I'm also thrilled to listen to the tracks that are being played in the background. Please mention the tracks as well😁😁
Having seen the car just in the photos & videos, I believe that the dashboard could have been more premium with its plastic and the dual-tone colour or the coloured vents. Overall, i20 has no comparison when it comes to satisfaction in the ride quality and how the car manages to handle sharp turns.
Hyundai i20 has improved a lot, feels like a Verna, drive it to experience it
considering this i20 is based on nios platform and which has got 2 stars in safety rating, it wouldn't be a surprise that i20 is or will be less on safety too.
The intention of Hyundai is clear from the Rear of i20 - To Compete with Altroz.
Bro come on its a universal design. They didn't design it especially considering Indian market but the Global market. Its a worldwide product.
@@Car_Factory_007 I Know it! But no other Hyundai Models comes with a Piano Black Insert at the behind, Just like the Altroz.
@@akshaypj406 bro if they doesn't provide this piano black finish then that chrome line is going to look like shit.
We expect you guys to speak up about safety too considering the NCAP ratings of Hyundai and Kia cars recently. Encourage people to focus on safety as a deciding factor as it's a very important issue but nobody cares about it.
Looks better than everything else and as usual with the best host indeed
Love this car
Loved this video
Congratulations on 2 million Powerdrift
A fan for 7 years now 😁 ❤️
And when Raunak says
I like it...I like it A LOT
You know the car has to be good❤️😁
Hey Raunak! You are so honest when reviewing a product man. Love the way you present. Keep rocking buddy :) And ya Happy Diwali to all :)
Sigh! Hyundai hope you are listening!
This is an excellent first ride review Ajinkya. But I could really see your face saying "No, it is not worth it", even while you were recommending it hand over heart.
You can get the verna sx petrol in 13 lakhs it even comes with a sunroof 😂🤣
👍 😁 What about Kia sonet
@@yasermohiuddin1347 🗼🗼
Oh wait till Hyundai jacks up the prices of Verna after Jan 2021
Its sticking to the 1.2L NA petrol because that would help keep price in check and give them 60-70% of customers at the end of day 😆
Sorry but the car tail lamp just doesn't fit my taste 😩
I feel Sonet or Altroz is a better deal for sure buying one between the both🔥🔥
The more I see of Raunak's work, the more I like his way of presentation.
One of the questions I wanted to ask was about the refinement levels.
Does the 3 Cylinder Turbo petrol match the refinement levels of the 1.2L Petrol?
Raunak is growing with each and every video being produced !
Here's the deal:
The top model is Asta (O) - with Sunroof.
i20 Asta (O) 1.2L Manual costs 10.4 Lakhs (On Road - Delhi)
i20 Asta (O) 1 L Turbo DCT costs 13 Lakhs (On Road - Delhi)
I am hands down a huge huge fan of this car and will emotionally buy this one and I have the budget for both - but do you think the difference of 3 lakhs is worth it for Turbo 1 Litre with DCT? With absolutely same features inside?
All cars of Hyundai own a great design
Idk why they don't offer an actual manual instead of an iMT on the turbo. It would get the price lower an do better justice to the engine too. Plus it feels like an actual enthusiast's car with a manual and not pretentious like the iMT. They could've offered the iMT on the regular 1.2L engine tho.
Nice review..
Since only 30K difference is there, Which is comparatively better I20 DCT Asta (O) or Venue DCT SX+ in terms of drive , handling, suspension, features, safety and value for money ?
my budget is 7.5L so should i consider BASE MODEL in my list which also includes tata altroz xm+ and swift facelift vxi
13.5 Lakhs for this? I’d rather get an Ecosport.
Everything aside the who ever has done the shots for this video they are awesome loved them ✌🏽
Hatch backs have a charm of their own and I like the way it looks and the features list too but for me Altroz is better because its a better drivers car.
Should have given led lights similar to international model
That probably would have made it even more expensive.
Problem is the enthusiasts .....
For the pricing of the top end variant....I'd pay an extra lakh or two for a THAR 😁
Lington Daniel you can get a base variant or mid variant Thar for the same price!
Potential THAR buyers don't look at "hatchbacks".... That argument of yours doesn't at all make any sense..... Ridiculous
@@debanjanmukherjee4322 🙄 I mentioned the enthusiasts part
Debanjan Mukherjee and he was just stating the range of options you have at 12 lakhs like offroaders, sedans, CSUVs etc. Don't argue just for the sake of it
@@lingtondaniel my friend, "Enthusiasts" don't cater to offroading only..... An f1 driver who drives fast on tarmac and a Rally driver who can go anywhere are both driving "Enthusiasts"....... An "Enthusiast" who longed for, Ford Figo S and Tata Tiago JTP looked for fun to drive on tarmac quotient and cornering without lifting much on twisty roads, whereas an "Enthusiast" pushing for mud bath and dune bashing would absolutely crave for a Thar...... You are misinterpreting the word "Enthusiast" rather, and that's my point.....
i would still buy i20 eventho i love suv because of its safety features and when u have more torque then venue is much important
what a best looking car. Bold steps taken by hyundai.
Great review. However still lost whether I should go for i20 sports or Sonet HTK. Plz advise.
Hey PD! Nice review. Can you please help us know more on how the headlamp is? I own an Asta (O) BS4 version & not so happy with its projector setup on highways especially, it simply lacks that throw & illumination isn't sufficient 😅
We shall try to find that out in the full review!
1.5 ltr Diesel ❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️ pls review that @PDArmy
Why not the Altroz?
the front looks good, but that rear tail light looks weird compared to its previous classy looks. I guess everyone hated this design because old one looked really good with that glossy black C pillar etc.. btw is there any comparo video coming out between this and altroz??
I will go with ALTROZ and save that extra 2.5lakh OR rather buy a KTM with that money..... In the end... Family bhi khush..... Mey bhi khus 😄🤟🏻...... Peace ✌🏻
Video could be one of the best from powerdrift but something isnt right
The front looks good don't get me wrong, but it think if only they had lifted the bonnet just a bit it would've looked even better.
Advise of you will recommend the current I20 Sportz variant to a new buyer by start of 2023?
I booked Altroz diesel 🔥
Hey, congratulations!
@@powerdriftofficial thanks a lot bro 😍🔥you replied me😍😍 happy diwali 🎉🎊
Altroz can’t match i20’s engine refinement and infotainment graphics.
Which car should I prefer,
1- Kia Sonet GTX MT 1.5 Ltr Diesel
or
2- i20 Asta Optional 1.2 ltr petrol.
I have normal use and less travelling.
I am looking for a family car.
My family size is of 5 people and max 5'6 height.
Please reply me immediately.
I need a quick suggestion.
I have booked sonet in November and want to cancel my booking and book i20 to save some 3-4 lakhs and get same features on the cost of sacrificing sonet looks.
Hey teamPD Happy Diwali guys.
I like your videos a big reason for the same is it has got a certain sense of style and fun factor to it. So on those standars I would say this perticular review was boring [to PD standard].
Also this did not cover the car in detail, I strongly felt more could have been shared and said.
It my individual observation.
Having said that keep makeing good reviews.
Ciao.
Altroz diesel anytime over i20 looking at the price
Altroz definitely has stronger build quality and looks upmarket
I20 pricing for too end variants too pricey ...12 lakhs for a hatchback is utter non sense
Like Indica
I will stick with my old i20 thank you at least it actually looks sporty and have the performance, and the plastic aint cheap
But somehow the design doe not feel as good as the previous one!!! It might be feature loaded as compared to rivals and also better driving ,but in terms of looks may be people will take time to accept the goodness of the design just like the new Creta!!!!!
Sees the new i20 ..
Gets reminded of the DC Avanti..
Literally the front portion of the car looks almost like it.. almost.
Since power to the rider i am the subscriber of you...since then i feel the quality is a lot degraded....i mean i cant make a car buying decision by watching your videos i have bought a 200ns back then when the two legends reviewed it...now these videos are the perfect videos for brands to play in their showroom but not for the customers
Now everybody will be praising Tata cars and Altroz in specific in the comments but when it comes it to buying, they will get the i20! ❤️
And we all know how marginally the i20 will now eat into the Altroz's sales as its a much better car 😂😪
I think VW will bring the new generation Polo because of i20's top varient price upwards of rupees 11 lakhs
🤞
That would be so much fun!
Could we talk about safety for a moment?
Last time I checked i20 is based on grand i10 nios's platform. Pricing invades around 13otr and that too with unstable body!
I expected better from you guys
Ranunak is my fav presenter, though here I really don't like the new body design. There just previous models had better design specially the I20 Elite
Hyundai marketing strategies ,for example launching i20 at price 8lacs on road for its base model for only 20k booking after that they will increase the price i.e introductory price
After a certain period of time Hyundai remove features from there cars and say that we have decreased the price of our products.
Hey Guys thanks for giving back sharan 😍
What a presentation guys. World class!!! Simply impressive. Keep going....😍😍
Thank you so much 😀
I don't know what others feel about, but the new i20 from the front looks more like DC Avanti. Isn't it ????
& one place where power drift need not worry is editing team.❤️
The price is going to kill it. It's a big no for me just because of the price.
Tough and Hyundai are best avoided being used together these days. 😅
You didn’t rest drive the diesel you should have man you would be impressed with it.
Nice, short n interesting review, fitting to new I20👌
No one is talking about the front , all are worried about the back which just does not click!! and why does the Indian market get wheel designs like that always. Why not something that goes with the car
Should buy altroz XT or i20 sportz variant in petrol?
Which one is better in maintance cost and mileage?
You should buy Altroz for 5 star safety rating alone. Everything is secondary, if you want some fun to drive vehicle buy Polo Tsi.
