Thanks for a great year in Edmonton. Your character shone through and Im sure everyone in oil country wishes you well.
Is it me, or with how much body FLA did, and how edm played non-body contact, that he was missed on d?
or did oil d have 3-4 guys who are d liabilities?
@@MrGamman3ytnah. Everyone who played was better than him. If he wants to lose in Vancouver good riddance.
Wish you all the best Vinnie...you deserve it and sad to see you go from Edmonton, but so happy Vancouver welcomes you with open arms.
Very sad to see Vinny go. Best of luck in Van!
We loved him in Edmonton! Best of luck
Sorry to see you go Vinny! I’m definitely a fan. Best of luck!
Sorry to see you go Vinny. Oil country will miss you.
Wish you could have stayed Vinny. Really liked your progress this year. Best of luck in Vancouver.
Vinnie’s a great guy & story. We’ll miss him, but since the Canucks are my 2nd team, I couldn’t be happier‼️
🇨🇦
You made a good decision. Best of luck in Vancouver Vinnie. Oiler fans like me will miss you but I'll be rooting you on.
Don't take this the wrong way - but he joined Vcr for money, not for 'coaching staff', etc. etc. etc. - And I don't blame him, I would've too! Congrats Vinnie you've worked very hard to get where you are and you deserve every dime you get. Vcr fans will love this guy - but he's not a fighter so don't expect him to beat the crap out of everyone, and also don't expect him to play like Zadorov, he plays his position and uses his size and reach to his advantage. He can be physical but he doesn't take himself out of the play to make a 'big hit' .
Every player signs for money, mate. You think McDavid would play for free?
Supposedly, this is a really nice guy. Take a look at his career. 28 and only two years of NHL experience. That is perseverance. Great story.
@@AlfAlpha56 I see you took my comment the wrong way. You think if say, Florida, or Vegas, offered him 2m a year for two years he wouldn't of signed there? I love this guy and he deserves every dime he gets. As for McDavid 'mate' - you realize Katz originally offered McD a lot more than what he got, right? McDavid took less as he knew the bigger the contract he signed, the less quality players he'd get playing around him. Plus, he makes a lot in endorsements, something Vinnie doesn't get. If you watch again, Vinnie talks about the 'coaching' etc etc. as to why he signed. My comment is fact - he waited an hour to see if he would get a better offer, or same offer from an American team with a much better tax situation. Nothing wrong with that. Now, if he had offers on the table like Henrique did, and signed with Vcr, that would be a different story
He sign for the money, of course, but as he said he'll get to contribute. Next year Oilers has some real decisions to make with Bouchard, Draisaitl and 16 other contracts to consider. And I thought Canucks had it tough this year. Good luck.
@@terryhui67that's an easy decision. Get rid of Boosh and keep Leon.
Now he will double headlock the Oilers...
Just an opportunity to low key hug them. lol Vinny's all heart and the fans in Vancouver will love him as much as Edmonton did.
He's a cheaper version of zadorov
I wonder if Vinnies phone was blowing up this off season. Someone ask Spec
As a Canuck fan living in Edmonton he is a good signing made big improvements this season
Despite the kick ass free agent deals and resigns Edmonton got done, I think they could have worked a little harder to find the money and keep Vinny and move some other D guy out. And the Oilers certainly have 1 or 2 Ds that are very tradeable. Vancouver got their hands on a great defenseman. Best of luck in Vancouver Vinny.
Why. He’s a 7/8 dman.
@@frankytanky5076 lol. As an Oiler fan I can objectively say...no he's not. 2nd at best 4th at worst. Sold 3rd pairing guy. Vancouver's not stupid. They're not handing out $4M bucks for a guy that's a healthy scratch all year long. Give me a break. Lol
@@jclvmanagement78483rd pairing is not 2nd or 4th defenseman
Definitely a 7/8th Dman, edm played much better without him in the lineup
@@jclvmanagement7848 we’ll see lmfao.
Gonna miss the seaweed in Oil country
Ifykyk
Welcome to not getting any closer to a cup
$$$$$$ is why he signed there, we couldn't afford him any longer
he look koo koo in the noggin, like most frenchman. welcome to vancouver 😂
I agree. He was definitely missed.
giveaway machine
have a look in November, after the coaches in Van have had some time with him.
"I wanna win" goes to the Canucks 😂
It's so funny it took Edmonton 7 games to beat a team with a minor league goalie.
fucking hilarious even!
@@snowyrain5730lmao was it an entire minor league team infront of him? Ahahah. Just admit it Canucks are a s s ahaha.
@@Khalistan159and riot too. They don't deserve to have a cup
@snowyrain5730 hilarious you downgrade the works of a goalie who did very well for his level in his career. Doesn't matter if he was a minor leaguer or a pro he played well and the Oilers were able to win. Doesn't matter if it was him or demko the Oilers and cancuks would have pushed that's series to game 7
Scratched 9 out of 10 of the last playoff games. I loved Vinny on Edmonton, but he could be a liability out there at times, and he is offensively illiterate. The man really doesn't use his size like he should. He doesn't throw bone crushing hits. He doesn't body his man out of the front of the net. He is a shot blocking machine, but i wish he would start a few more fights. Most you would get usually is a headlock in a scrum
Sounds like he knows to stick with the winners! Welcome to Vancouver.
lol
He wanted to stick with winners he would of stayed a Oilers . He went to the Canucks for the money ,good for him. He even said game 7 it was the Oilers falling asleep that allowed the Canucks to score 2 goals. Not the better team scored ,the better team took their foot off the gas and gave the Canucks hope and then they got back on the gas and it was lights out ,eliminated lol.
Doesn’t want to win or get hit in the corners. Adios from Edmonton!
Really sad to see him go. I wish we could get rid of cici and take him back
Better luck there, forthe Oilers just to many give aways.
Vincent ✌️ means, "The Conquerer" ...conquer hockey 🏒 😅
For his size he should have been like Rempe. However we had a giant teddy bear that was slow. Honestly glad we got rid of him.
It's all good bro...we've got a little weapon over here called thatcher demko who you didn't see. Next year it's like the regular season was.. a strait beat down on your boys. No cup is no cup. 2nd in the cup or 8th doesn't mean shit. Your best player is a center while ours plays in net.. you were fortunate to not meet demko again. We'll happily take desharias off your hands. 😂
@@ryanhague3892 Lol What ????? What was the purpose of anything you just wrote. Nothing was said about the cunucks or the the players on the cunucks or the cunucks losing so what are you going off about? I'm talking about vinnys performance during his time on Edmonton.
Thatcher demko can barely stay healthy for half a season now. Won’t matter anyway.
@@ryanhague3892 "if only we had demko" lmao, as if Silovs wasn't a monster that series. A deep run is more fun than a short run by the way you guys should try it next year
@@ryanhague3892 Wow you are delusional!! Man you guys talk like no one can score on Demko . Stop talking about regular season ,are you really that delusional?? Do you think the better team won in regular season or do you think it was a coach making stupid line calls and McDavid and Dri and Kane playing with injuries that maybe were the factor?? Canucks fans love to talk about Demko ,Oilers have scored on and beat better goalies then Demko in the series!! Btw a team since 1971 with 0 cups ,kick rocks bud!! Silvo was rock solid in net for the Canucks ,can't say Demko would of done better because better goalies crumbled in the playoffs! The Oilers the better team eliminated the Canucks ,accept reality!!
Bro wants to lose. Good riddance.
Good luck in Vegas. It’s gonna suck when your name won’t be on the Stanley Cup next season with the Oilers.
