The Hunting Party is their best album post Meteora, but not because it's more Rock oriented, is just because the songs are great, the lyrics are great, all work in this album, the special gests... it's all in the right place. The Hunting Party is pure gold!!!

I didn't expect LP returning to raw and heavy songs again. When I heard this delicious for the first time, it was like I had been punched right in my face! This is my favorite Linkin Park album, side by side with Hybrid Theory.

I had a friend of mine cry after the death of Michael Jackson. My mom cried after the loss of some of her favourite artists and i could never understand how could people get so upset about people they never met untill Chester was gone. The first and only artist i ever cried after his death.....it was like he was always there for me, where i was going through teen angst and the depression of my parents, the health issues of people close to me and all that burden Lp were always there for me to keep me going.
Every aspect of this song is great, but being a big Helmet fan (was honestly surprised Page even collaborated with LP), I gotta say Page's appearance really elevates it. Awesome stuff.

I don't get this mindset. After 2 albums of music I didn't like and constantly being told by the band themselves that they weren't going back to their old sound I quit playing attention to anything they put out. I wasn't aware of any albums after A Thousand Suns until after Chester died and the band was back on my radar. How the hell is it my fault I didn't Kno about this album when Linkin Park constantly, and sometimes insultingly, told me they weren't going to make the music I liked anymore? They alienated the fans of their heavy sound, so nobody gets to blame the people who stopped paying attention to them before the decided to make a return and then suddenly it doesn't sell well. I wasn't aware of any albums after A Thousand Suns until after Chester died and the band was back on my radar.
How the hell is it my fault I didn't Kno about this album when Linkin Park constantly, and sometimes insultingly, told me they weren't going to make the music I liked anymore? They alienated the fans of their heavy sound, so nobody gets to blame the people who stopped paying attention to them before the decided to make a return and then suddenly it doesn't sell well. That's the fault of the fanatics and the new, broader, non heavy audience they chased.
This wasn't "the old LP". I love this album but it was still very different from Hybrid Theory and Meteora
