FEATURE-PACKED: Build a beautiful and authentic replica with super-detailed parts like separate headlight lenses, multi-piece engine, interior and suspension systems along with low profile vinyl tires and colorful decal sheet. It even has two sets of wheels to choose from!
QUICK SPECS: 1/25 scale, 144 easy-to-assemble parts; approximately 8 inches long once assembled. Molded in white with black vinyl tires, clear and clear red lenses along with many chrome-plated parts and more! Paint and glue required. Skill 2 rating.
The Dodge Charger is a model of automobile marketed by Dodge in various forms over seven generations since 1966.
The first Charger was a show car in 1964.[1][2] A 1965 Charger II concept car resembled the 1966 production version.[3]
The Charger has been built on three different platforms in various sizes. In the United States, the Charger nameplate has been used on subcompact hatchbacks, full-size sedans, muscle cars, and personal luxury coupes. The current version is a four-door sedan.
The Charger received an improved interior and new exterior styling for 2011. This included new side scoops along both front and rear doors, more angular headlights, aggressive new grille styling, and a more defined and aerodynamic shape overall.
Base performance was increased, with the 3.5 L 250 hp (186 kW; 253 PS) V6 engine replaced with a Pentastar 3.6 L producing 292 hp (218 kW; 296 PS) @ 6350 rpm and 260 pound force-feet (350 N⋅m) of torque @ 4800 rpm. The 4-speed automatic transmission was replaced with the 5-speed A580 auto.[12][13]
The SRT-8 was not produced for the 2011 model year.
The 2012 year brought a new 8-speed automatic transmission to the V6 model. This year also saw the return of the SRT-8 to the model lineup. AWD was also added to the V6, making AWD available on all but the SRT-8 model.
2015 facelift
For the 2012 - 2018 years, the Super Bee platform (Later called Scat Pack 15+) was available, using features seen in regular SRT-8 models with accessories and badges reminiscent of the 60s and 70s muscle car. These included a 6.4 L engine rated at 470 hp (350 kW; 477 PS) and had four-piston Brembo calipers, slotted rotors, paddle shifters, SRT launch features (such as 0-60 timing, Live G-Force readings, and ¼ and ⅛ mile drag timers), custom seat embroidery as well as other features.
The 2014 Pursuit model no longer included chrome exhaust tip extensions, as they often scraped during maneuvers over medians.
For 2015, the Charger received significant exterior styling updates. Most notably, the new front end featured new LED lights and a more aerodynamic nose that was less angled and featured a noticeable curve around the headlight housing. Suspensions, interiors, and brakes were also redesigned.
The 2017 model had an upgrade to the 8.4-inch navigation/display system and was restyled due to issues with the previous system.
Except for Charger Pursuit (through 2020), all models came standard with the eight-speed automatic transmission. In December of 2014, the AWD Charger Pursuit appeared, and the V8 R/T AWD model disappeared. Sales of the AWD Pursuit increased.
WINDOW MASK INFORMATION:
As Chris mentioned, he put out a request on Facebook for someone who would make these masks available.
I CNC cut these from solid Tamiya masking sheet and they fit exactly to the template shapes supplied in the kit. They will save you the trouble buying masking material and hand-cutting from the template.
1 set consists of the 3 pieces shown in the video. What we thought were visors is actually a shape that represents a strip of factory window tint at the top of the rear window with a kit decal for the rear brake light in the center. Just follow the kit instructions.

The kit looks pretty solid, but much like the 2016/17 Camaro kits the suspension seems to ride just a touch too high. Once I have the kit in my hands I'll be able to see how to remedy that.
You do some amazing work. I'm glad that their is people out there that like to show off their craftsmanship skills.

Awesome. Can't wait for the police version. Looks like the police center caps are on the chrome tree. I'm sure they'll do a Hellcat version too. Hopefully they do the 6.4 Scat Pack version too as my brother owns one and I'd love to build one up for him.

Awesome model kit looking forward to future releases. I think you're right with a police version coming in the future, when you show the chrome tree @1:22 the parts ID'ed as P202 are the center caps on the Dodge Charger Police cars rims.

Spectacular build. Quick tip if I may? I cover my paint stands with sawran wrap or foil when I know I'm doing a lot of painting. Poke the mounting clips through and paint away. When I'm done, just peel off the covering and toss. Cheers!
I love everything Mr. Hpiguys Workshop does..................But I done some experimenting with Rustoleum spray paint and all Rustoleum spray paint adheres every bit as well without using a primer, so why use a primer.............So what does it really give you.

That body color looks very close to my 2023 Charger's factory color called "Sinamon Stick". Where did you find/purchase that spray paint? Thanks in advance.

Just ordered this kit along with 3D/resin parts to make it a widebody Hellcat! It'll be my first time working with resin but I'm looking forward to it.
It'd be cool to try do do a Hellcat. I think on EBAY I saw a resin Hellcat engine kit. I love what you did with the flat black hood to match the trim and the darker wheels.

What color finish did you use for the accent areas of the body, matte black or satin black? I want to do the same thing on my Charger. Looks like you also glossed the body first and then painted the black accents after, correct?

Great job as usual, Chris! I am so glad that they are finally putting positive attachment points on all the parts. Too many times in the past, it was a struggle getting things to line up/fit right, especially with the exterior trim. Happy new year!

Yup, those are hubcaps, almost certainly.
Hopefully we'll see a State Trooper version with all kinds of states on it.
The bone head that came up with the saying "Don't sweat the small stuff." was NOT a model builder. This build proves it.

Absolutely nothing wrong with an after market paint job. People do it all the time to newer vehicles. This kit seems to be pretty nice
My last build for the year was a Ford pickup from a bunch of parts box pieces I slapped together. It looks like I simply built the Firestone Ford pickup kit, but it was a case of changing model trucks around combined with stuff I built during builder's block to keep the glue flowing.
Was looking forward to this build from the time you did the unboxing, and yes, I'd like to see a full police version of this kit with all the equipment etc. Would be interesting to compare that to the older police car kits available.

I mean, I could get it from somewhere in the US, but I'd rather help local places stay afloat. So I have to wait.
So, this kit is a beauty, we know it from the previous review you did of it. It just show how Round2 can do awesome new toolings. Which is why I still think they should retire certain old kits and make new toolings out of 'em. Would help them get rid of a certain negative reputation they got in the community. That said, I still hope they do a Hellcat version of that car. IF they announce a Hellcat version, I may wait for that instead of buying this kit.

As far as I can tell it's not in stock anywhere yet, not even the US but is coming hopefully in January save for any shipment delays.
@@hpiguy I see. I thought it was already out, since they put it in their December release vid.
The factory will send a production case via mail to the model company to verify packaging and that everything is correct.
They send a few kits out from that case to me and magazines, etc and keep the rest for internal uses.
The bulk of the shipment is put into the regular shipping containers and takes the long boat over.
So when you see the kits on their new issue videos you can anticipate it being on the shelves within a couple months.
