Christensen said he wanted a Vader series and to be honest, a character study (or 3) showing his journey towards betraying palpatine and his growing conflict would be quite awesome. I'd also love to see a LA aphra!
Palpating knew Anakin was his greatest threat so he befriended him as a child just to manipulate him and control him the rest of his life. In these new comics, Vader is basically half Anakin. He was conflicted.
They’ll most likely make another story about him telling Luke and either Luke finding it or not finding it. Personally it would be kind of cool if he did find it by himself went to go get back up which would’ve included Kylo. So in this fit of stress Luke makes the gigantic mistake he did in Last Jedi. It would make Luke’s fall so much more guy punching and tragic. But that’s just me.
Palpatine would have removed them, clapped them cheeks on the Holonet, in front of the whole galaxy all night long and then yet another dose of "Unlimited Power"
I always felt like the only reason Vader continues to serve Palpatine is because he knows that the pain and suffering that he experiences daily as a result for being the whipping boy of the same man who manipulated him into betraying his closest friends and killing his wife would only make him stronger with the dark side. Like, I believe Vader IS physically powerful enough with the force and as a combatant to kill Palpatine if it were a deathmatch situation outside of canon, but within universe Vader cannot exist without Palpatine and vice versa. It's like Vader intentionally tortures himself by being Palpatine's apprentice both because it makes him more powerful, and because he believes he deserves it.
Just AFTER this comic Vader faced Palpatine again even more directly and he become even more powerful at the point even Sidious recognize his strength and is concerned, the result is essentially a stale: ua-cam.com/video/cuYwy5h5iJQ/v-deo.html
Honestly in a straight up fight Vader would kill Sidious than vice versa, but Sidious wisely keeps Vader in the dark disconnected from his power base to get him in a position to kill him.
No way Vader would beat Palpatine in a 1v1. Maybe if it was purely a saber battle, then yes, But with the force Palpatine is definitely superior and not to mention far more experienced.
In no universe Vader can defeat Sidious. Not in L.S duels or the force. The reason Sidious keeps Vader in the dark is to keep using him as a pawn. There is a comic where Sidious easily disarmed Vader, used force crush to destroy Vader' limbs and then proceeded to finsh him off with a small portion of force lightning. Also remember Sidious can amp himself with the darkside meaning Vader's brute force in L.S duels will be meaningless.
I’m pretty sure in new Canon there was a book that stated that Vader surpassed Sidious as a duelist and in his bio from fallen order it states he is the most powerful Sith Lord
Palpatine thought power and intimidation could subdue Vader but when Vader truly breaks free of his leash, Palpatine is nothing but a meek, pathetic coward.
What palpatine's psychotic mindset fails to understand is basic human emotion. Think about it, how much easier would it be for Vader to constantly be loyal to his master if his master actually gave a shit about him, like a father-son sort of deal. If Palpy didn't give in to psychotic and sadistic mindset, something tells me vader would've thought twice before deciding to overthrow him. Other darksiders understood this, as they weren't evil, where Palpatine, is nothing short of true evil.
Man if Vader could get his head straight he would be so much more powerful than Sidious. Lots of people think the suit holds him back but he could have got around that by upgrading his suit or focusing on his force potential. Damn it Vader get your head in the game
Basically Palpatine was already god-like in power, thus completely making Palpatine look more incompetent and foolish when Vader threw him over the reactor and letting Rey destroy his face lmao
@Osamabinlaggin6n .....I thought that guy filoni or whatever his name is did do that during the episode where ahsoka and shit kid were in that black time room thingy
"But there is no threat I have not prepared for!" said Palpatine, years before turning his back on his traitorous murderous apprentice who had tried to murder him because he literally trained him to betray and kill him at the right moment , as he faced the reactor core.
I like that they try to explain the whole Exegol thing, but if Vader knew everything why did't his force ghost tell Luke? "Hey son, we stopped the emperor, but there is this massive fleet in a temple on an old sith planet, you should really deal with this, here I show you were it is"
this comic just raises more plot holes in ep 9. Leia said Luke spent years looking for the planet, why didnt force ghost Anakin just tell his son where it was since he was there as Vader?
The sad thing is that Palpatine lied to Anakin when he claimed that he was the only one to save Padme. Padme was never in danger. Palpatine manipulated Anakin's dreams making him believe that she will die later on.
Yeah if only Anakin actually talked to HER about the dreams more, she could've encouraged him to bring this to the Jedi Council, and even if Anakin was reluctant and didn't trust the Jedi, he would trust Padme
Honestly I think it‘s not right of Vader being less strong in the force than Palpatine. What happened to being the chosen one and strongest force user ever?
Vader should have trained an army of toydarians....they aren't affected by the force..to them Palpatine would only be dangerous through lightnings, flying objects, and lightsabers....Okay that already is quite dangerous, but they'd still have a pretty great advantage when compared to most species lol.
Tried to watch this with an open mind. It’s incredible how invasive Disneys total lack of creative integrity is. Just felt shallow. Legends still somehow remains undefeated despite having no new content.
Palpatine told Yoda that Vader would become "more powerful then either of us" Had Anakin not been weakened or permanently injured on Mustafar he would of been at his full potential eventually. With Vaders wounds and lungs never being completely healed he was never at 100% although still very powerful, not 100% of his potential. On top of that Palpatine sent him off around the galaxy doing chores while he left to getting deeper into the Sith Arts and growing and cultivating his power and influence. Without prep i think Vader could take Palpatine on. If knowing ahead of time i think Palpatine would set him up for failure. Palpatine is a master at manipulation. He manipulated everyone including the wise Jedi without getting caught till it was too late.
2:12 Pretty sure Vader still hadn't surpassed or even reached his previous level of power. I mean, he legit ripped a hole in the force in the 2017 comics, and multiple sources state that before Vader was conflicted by the events at the end of ESB (which made him lose a lot of his power) he was more powerful then Palpatine.

I don't read the comics so these videos are all the info I have so I have to ask, is it ever explained/expanded how Vader killed Palpatine so easily? I know Vader ended up dying so easily probably isn't the right word but this video shows that Palpatine is like majorly powerful and Vader whilst powerful isn't as powerful as he could've been cause of his injuries and the suit. So I just don't understand how Vader was simply able to surprise him and throw him to his death? (Obviously I get all this information about Palpatines strength has come after ROTJ, but if they're gonna add on how uber powerful he is then surely they have to have an explanation of how he died so easily?)
Palpatine got caught off guard being too focused and angry at Luke, basically, and Anakin was acting powered up by the Force with the full motivation to save Luke at that point, plus, he died almost immediately just by taking a bit of Palpatine's Lightning.
1 Vader is physically very strong, his robot arms can bend steal 2 Palpatine didn’t think he could come back from the dark, he couldn’t see Vader sacrificing himself Personally I always liked the idea of evader being stronger than palp but just being unable to challenge him because of force lightning but it looks like they changed that

Palpating knew Anakin was his greatest threat so he befriended him as a child just to manipulate him and control him the rest of his life. In these new comics, Vader is basically half Anakin. He was conflicted.
Remember, the sith are ENCOURAGED to kill their masters, or to continue to try to.
At this point Palpatine was probably even more powerful than Yoda

Vader and Palpatine's relationship is just a Tom and Jerry skit.
oh my, LMFAO
Palpatine being insanely powerful again is definitely one of my favorite things in Star Wars.
When he said "Unlimited Power"...he meant it.
We need more of this kind of Palpatine

@@CognitiveCriptyd97It's speculated that Sidious may have been the Sith'ari, which is the dark side version of the chosen one
Vader knowing about the fleet still kinda irks but him standing up to palpatine is pretty cool.

Palpatine at this point was far more powerful than his ROTS self.
@@cucumberwater6 that hasn't been stated? By any official source that I know of.
Yoda was stronger then Palpatine in episode 3. The fight clearly shows it.
@@hughmann9568 Well Palpatine now was older and probably got his hands on more Sith artifacts, increasing his knowledge and power
Just AFTER this comic Vader faced Palpatine again even more directly and he become even more powerful at the point even Sidious recognize his strength and is concerned, the result is essentially a stale: ua-cam.com/video/cuYwy5h5iJQ/v-deo.html
Palpatine planned for everything his apprentice had planned except for being picked up and thrown down a shaft lol
@@shockie3963 that is known by cal and the galaxy as the majority of the galaxy dont know palpatine is a Sith lord

If he trained near the kybercrystal Vader would've grown to be more powerful.

Appearently Darth Vader can't be impressed with technology
Not unless he makes it himself, he’s not impressed.
He wasn't impressed by the Death Star and he won't be impressed by some fleet. He's Vader, he just doesn't like technology that much
Ok boomer moment
Basically found himself in the same position as Dooku waiting for the right moment to defeat palpatine
I like that they try to explain the whole Exegol thing, but if Vader knew everything why did't his force ghost tell Luke? "Hey son, we stopped the emperor, but there is this massive fleet in a temple on an old sith planet, you should really deal with this, here I show you were it is"
I'm kinda asking the same
I found the answer
Basically Anakin only knows about the sith eternal
Not the emperor resurrection
He told Luke as well
Luke knew Exegol already during his time as a Jedi and how it is a Sith world that must be found and secured. Anakin likely told Luke later on.
luke actually try to look for exegol, but he failed to find any clue
To avoid plot holes, we never see Anakin ghost.
I should've known that The Lore Master would make a video about the latest Vader comic.
this comic just raises more plot holes in ep 9.

"I am no longer...YOUR APPRENTICE!" is a line we NEED to hear Vader say in a live-action show.
Man this just raises more questions than it answers. Just stop already Disney, you've beaten the dead horse enough.

Honestly I think it‘s not right of Vader being less strong in the force than Palpatine. What happened to being the chosen one and strongest force user ever?
What happened is he lost more than 50% of his organic body, which is the only part of him that can connect to the Force
All this, yet all it took to bring Palpy down was crossing two lightsabers…
Love the content!
Ay he’s back less goooo

Vader should have trained an army of toydarians....they aren't affected by the force..to them Palpatine would only be dangerous through lightnings, flying objects, and lightsabers....Okay that already is quite dangerous, but they'd still have a pretty great advantage when compared to most species lol.
Tried to watch this with an open mind. It’s incredible how invasive Disneys total lack of creative integrity is. Just felt shallow. Legends still somehow remains undefeated despite having no new content.
Welcome back 🙌
Prepared for everything... Well almost everything, save for being thrown into a reactor.
Missed your videos mr lore
I imagine this would look quite silly in a movie, Vader riding this monster...
If Palpatine was this strong how come all it took to kill him in the original movies was throwing him down a space shaft?
Because Vader was stronger. Possibly due to the fact he found the light within himself and the strength to finally defeat Sidious
@@N7gamer1337
Because he surprised Sidious. And despite that Sidious still killed him.
Dint vader throw him in a reactor?

2:12 Pretty sure Vader still hadn't surpassed or even reached his previous level of power. I mean, he legit ripped a hole in the force in the 2017 comics, and multiple sources state that before Vader was conflicted by the events at the end of ESB (which made him lose a lot of his power) he was more powerful then Palpatine.

I see this and immediately think of Palpatine’s encounter with the Zillo Beast. He absolutely could have killed the thing the moment he saw it’s eye through his window, he just knew he couldn’t do it without revealing himself prematurely.
(Sad sigh) I miss being able to love Star Wars.
Vader: I am no longer your apprentice.
Palpatine: Oh, this ought to be good...(evil laughter)
1 Vader is physically very strong, his robot arms can bend steal
2 Palpatine didn’t think he could come back from the dark, he couldn’t see Vader sacrificing himself
Personally I always liked the idea of evader being stronger than palp but just being unable to challenge him because of force lightning but it looks like they changed that
