Tool's drummer Danny Carey is one of the founders of the O'Keefe Foundation.
Oh I didn't know that, thanks for the info and thanks for watching!
The lead singer was 11 at the time her name is Kala Rose, she has her own band now I believe the name is saving escape, she had done many songs within the foundation her last song before graduating was a cover of crazy horse by the Black label society... The drummer is named Curtis Moss. . He has his own UA-cam channel
Saving Escape
The drummer and bassist always gets me. I do not have enough fingers and toes to count how many times I have watched the video. Cheers.
I have watched it several times since publishing this. These kids are great. I wish I would have picked up the guitar when I was younger. I can play a "little" now but not nearly this good.. I tried drums and I just made noise...LOL
Their cover of SOBER is incredible. Not exact....more "re-imagined", but REALLY cool.
I'll add that to my reactions, thanks for watching!
I'm most impressed with drummer - probably hardest technically part; and girl's vocals. For how young she is she's got surprising range in the lows and great ear to hit the timing with everyone else.
They were absolutely amazing. Leaves me wondering if any of them are doing anything with their talents today?
That drummer is INSANE on the kit!!!what timing and percision !!!Danny Carey isn't an easy drummer to mimic hes considered by many to be a legend and complete beast on the drums.and I've had the fortune to have seen TOOL in concert several times up close...Danny IS a god on the drums!!!this kid, close to perfection at his replicating Danny's extremely difficult solo!! Impressive doesn't begin to describe how happy this makes me to see and hear!!!😃AMAZING group of young musicians... Chris to the Foundation for providing these kids with the means to make their dreams a reality!!!!😃🎶❤✌
That's KUDOS to the foundation... Not whatever auto correct decided to auto fill.sorry I missed that!✌
The OMF channel is a rabbit hole you will enjoy going down. Kala (on vocals) was one of their stars. Pull Me Under by Dream Theater, The Longest Day by Iron Maiden are a couple of their best. Like four versions of The Pot by Tool. Crazy Horse by Black Label Society, the kids go wild.
Excellent, lets do it! I'll go down that rabbit hole.
kala rose and she's gotten much better. Lead vocalist of Saving Escape
Saving Escape, I will check them out! Thanks!
Wow …. Love that !! Original, great played and warm my heart to see this Young kidd and teenagers playing Tool s songs ! 🤘🏼💯👍🏼
They did such a great job with this one. I will be reacting to more from Okeefe!
The foundation also does an Ozzy cover of no more tears, awesome 👍
Glad you found this. Those kids are amazing!
Yes they are! Thanks for watching, Happy Holidays!
Loved your reaction!
Gotta give a shout out to that bass player.... that kid is really going places!
He dictates the rhythm and they were all in sync, so yes! I totally agree!!
She’s much older in O’keefe’s The Pot Version 2
They also do smells like teen spirit
Welcome to O'Keefe
Paused the video for a second just to add this.
I cannot stand the band Tool,
But I bought a audio only copy of this cover several years ago.
That being said, going to take a wild guess here that you'll also like this cover.
Unpausing now.
I was never a huge fan of Tool but this song in particular was always intresting to me. These kids really pulled it off well..
Almost makes you want to cry considering music is essentially dead to everyone under 30 years of age. There’s rap but that too pathetic embarrassing and nauseating to even talk about.
You are spot on. It's really scary to be honest.
