That route is east west "highway" you were passing thru from Kelantan to Perak is home to wild elephants. Lucky motorists may encounter them crossing the road esp. in the evenings. Be careful because they are wild animals and although gentle but unpredictable.
So if you drive to into Cambodia, can you drive back into Thailand seeing that you aren't allowed to cross the Thai land border again this year? Weird rules. There are Malaysians who live close to the border who drive into Thailand regularly more than once a month. Have fun.
The rules don’t apply to Malaysian people, I think Malaysians can cross as often as they want. Australians are only allowed to cross by land twice a year, luckily the year is almost over. We have made it to Cambodia and will cross the border to Laos soon, then we can cross back into Thailand from Laos in January. It’s a shame Thailand is so strict, we would have liked to stay longer and explore more.
Yeah, generally it usually signals a warning or if there's something to watch out for. Typically that means u are near village or kampung areas. Or sometimes the road has a slightly dangerous bend, or in some cases, wildlife crossings. So it could be a number of things.
You two surely having a great adventure
Yes, it’s a massive adventure 🤩

That’s so cool, I would love to see one, but I would also be pretty scared.

the yellow bumps or lines on the roads is to prevent people from speeding to avoid or prevent road accidents.
Yes, they do slow us down a bit, but we normally drive slowly. Many people still just speed over them.
