I love seeing strength sports crossovers because different athletes push one another to get outside their box and do different things. It can only benefit all involved as the athletes broaden their strength, coaches get to pick up on nuanced differences, tips, and tricks, and fans get to see their favorites from different sports on one screen. It is a win all around!
Well him and rich are the best ever. Plus this is on film so either way Mat is not gonna look like a jerk or idiot on camera. He seems like a really good guy and so smart about CrossFit.
I think Mal and Jake did clips cause thats what they need to practice for their competitions. Even though its still for fun, its good practice for those two.
Mat Fraser, you horrible person! A strongman finally feels safe in one of us lil dwarfs' crossfitters' spot and you make him do cardio?!?!? Poor Rob!! 😆😆😆 Can you guys have a log press challenge next please?? 🙏😬😬😬
@@jater10 but if you’re a power athlete carrying excess body weight, high reps of deadlift really rev your motor, even with lighter weights. Anything more than 4 is cardio.
A good cue is whatever gets the athlete to do the correct movement. That means that when Mat says “eyes up” to Mal if it puts her in a better position (it did) then it’s a good cue *for her*. If you tend to overarch your back but look down, saying eyes up would be a terrible cue. So although you are correct that one shouldn’t have their ‘eyes up’ the whole time, it’s not necessarily a bad queue. Like ‘weight on your heels’ for a squat. Weight should be mid foot, but if an athlete always has the weight on their toes ‘weight on your heels’ could be a great cue for them
Mal is so young that she doesn't have many bad habits and being trained by the GOAT of CF. That's a deadly combo 💪🏽
u mean rich
@@ozzythegreat88 Djokovic, Federer, or Nadal? How about Jordan or Lebron? Tiger Woods or Jack Nicklaus?
@@VincesInHocSigno Indeed.
Yeah, cranking your body full of gear at such a young age is probably a bad habit
Shes slamming the weight so hard into the ground, the world is bouncing off the load. not even doing a single rep.

I love it! Mal with the “I won a deadlift workout!” Lol so awesome! I love her! 🙌🏼 #beast
One of my favorite strongmen and from what I have heard,a great teacher too.
Rob is a beast! I wish to see him in more WSM comps in the future.
This is what I want to see more of! Crossfit vs. Strongman; let's get some sandbags and a yoke carry going haha
Rob is the perfect addition to add a powerlifting and odd objects dimension that is crucial for Games performance
I love these type of cross-discipline videos. Wouldn’t it be nice to see more videos of ‘Fittest vs …Mr. Olympia, Iron Man, Olympic Swimmer, etc.?
Great way to start my Saturday morning. Thank you!
I feel like rob is the only one not bouncing it
Feels like he's the only one not repicking the bar and keeping it always under control. This people is amazing anyways 🙌
100%
looks like strongman touches the bar to the floor, crossfit bounces the bar on the floor.
looks like strongman can control what is ~40% of his max a lot easier than the others working at 75% of their max.
She’s bouncing the shit out of the weight
@@AlejandroSanchez-pl6jw ay, their heads vibrate when the bar hits. if it meets the ruleset, great i guess. i will politely pass
Looks like the lady wins! She is hard core. Much respect
the iron symphony was great - clang and bang baby!
i won a deadlift workout
Damn Mal has developed so much! Last year she looked like a teen, this year she looks like a beast!x
Mal is a weapon!
I listened to a podcast & thought Rob did CF at a local affiliate on the regular
Mal is a PROBLEM!! 💪🏼💪🏼💪🏼
What were the women’s weights in this wod? Definitely want to try this wod!
What was the weights for Mal?
Looks like 270, 255, 235, 215, 180, and 135 (zoomed in on the wb)
Super cool Rob is a beast!!!
Cool one
Mal is such a fucking beast. Very impressed
Nice challenge
Why the fuck did I think rob was Eddie hall for a second 😅😂
How many times did he say “I deadlifted yesterday” 😂
You've got to admire Jake for turning up each day, knowing he's going to get his butt kicked by a girl. Mind you the girl is Mal O'Brien.
So they all finished around 2 min 35 sec.. ? correct
Notice Rob doesn't bounce every rep off the ground
This was fun. A little inconsistent on the competition with time wasted on removing and adding clips though.
I think Mal and Jake did clips cause thats what they need to practice for their competitions. Even though its still for fun, its good practice for those two.
When you bounce the weight, you can't call it a deadlift. The weight is supposed to be "DEAD".
Ah yes, three athletes doing their thing and then....a UA-cam critic. Good job dude.
@@valdie91285 Did I hurt your feelings?
Bounce the load till you do half a rep then just drop it. "crossfit"
@@Patriot1790 nope

That 2:29 though.
Strongmen look exactly like every 45 year old beer league softball player 😂
Rob doesn’t bounce it like Mal and the other dude.
Yeah. No shit. Rob is working at 40% or less of his max, the others started at 75%.
@@chasegrim5115 they where still doing it at the end when the weight was massively reduced
The load on the bar is warmup weight for him lol

Bouncing weights off the floor - LOL!
Haha. Mals a beast.
Mal O'Brien has a great future 😍
Moonshot: collab with tiger woods
Rob 😍😍😍😍
why do they just drop the load when they finished their reps? every time I see CrossFit they just do random stuff that makes no sense.
Because it doesn’t state in the rules that you have to lower it, just that you have to fully extend at the top
Mal crushesss
Hall Dorothy Lopez Jennifer Hernandez Eric
Mal we be the best CrossFit athlete ever
No longer a Nike athlete??
Pretty sure Fraser is, they make his HWPO line, Nike released that range with the name like that a while ago
Crossfit - exercising with the worst form possible
Jakes form is terrible
Look it's proper impressive, but wearing straps, that's not impressive
Please for the love of god do not look up when you deadlift.
Nobody is looking up in this video.

How is it possible she has less weight but is louder when hitting the floor?
