'The Country and the City' (1979) by Raymond Williams and Mike Dibb

This is Williams's own VHS copy of the BBC film he made with Mike Dibb in 1979, based on his 1973 book of the same name. Taken from the Williams family archive and loaned to the Raymond Williams Society by Merryn Williams. Digitised and uploaded by Phil O'Brien, society secretary.

All still very topical, even more so with the passage of time. I first read the book in about 1980, when i was a student. I can still remember picking it off the bookshelf. Culture and Society was the book everyone knew. I find The Country and the City is even better, though less familiar.
