We’ve found a couple as we clear the wilderness that is our garden, they are a delight to see! luckily we only mowed where we walked the grass down, because the first one just appeared on the new mown path. we clear long grass with a rake first to make sure there’s nothing hiding, and sure enough I uncovered another by the chicken shed. I’m Surprised they survive the cold winters, my first memory of tortoises was the Blue Peter one that got put in an airing cupboard to hibernate?!
