If you breath 500cc per minute you would be dead. On your Alveolar Ventilation Equation slide minute ventilation should equal 500cc (tidal volume) x RR. With each tidal volume partitioned into 150cc dead space and 350cc available for gas exchange. Thus alveolar ventilation should equal 350cc x RR if my math is correct.
You are right.ur alv vent is (tv minus dead space) x RR. And avarage tv is around 6-8ml x kg
yes, its 500 ml for each breath taken not per minute. 12-20 breaths per minute, so 6L/min or 4.2L/min for alveolar ventilation
