The Ottoman conquest of previously Christian Anatolia led to the loss of that region to dreary monochrome Islam, such as exists in modern day Turkey. The Christian survivors of the medieval Muslim onslaught on the Asia Minor region are Cyprus and Armenia. May God bless them both. Great video. Love from England.
Christian Orthodox Greek speaking communities existed and thrived right across Asia Minor, Ottoman Turkey, from Trabzon down to Cappadocia, across the whole area of modern Turkey, until the population exchange with Greece in 1922.
Cyprus is pretty much like the Philippines that Roman Catholicism is well embedded, no divorce, no abortion, no death penalty, no cremation, no desire for revenge to wrongdoers.
Actually, Lebanon is a partly Christian country. We usually associate them with the Arab world but it is not quite simple there. Those Christians do can speak Arab in their daily life but they are descendants of different communities and mentally very much open-minded towards the West. But unfortunately, today the Christian communities of Lebanon are between the hammer and the anvil. On the one hand, the Muslim communities there are very active, aggressive and persistent. On the other hand, the Western media prefer never to notice the Christian aspect of Lebanon due to its [the media's] almost religious blind support of another country (which is not allowed to mention badly in YT) with two overlapping triangles on its flag, which has issues with Lebanon.
"Thank you for your comment! Armenia and Georgia are indeed Christian countries, but geographically, they are located in the South Caucasus region, which is often considered part of Europe or Eurasia, not the Middle East. Cyprus, on the other hand, is widely recognized as part of the Middle East despite its close ties to Europe. Hope this clears things up!"
@@Oathkeeper1991 probably, the guy above meant that Cyprus is in EU, not Armenia or Georgia. And strictly speaking some part of Georgia is within the geographic borders of Europe but the whole point is slightly ridiculous because it does not matter. Albania is in Europe but it is a Muslim country who has issues with Christian Serbia and North Macedonia. Armenia is in Western Asia but politically, culturally and mentally it is more European than Middle Eastern in modern terms, since Middle East today is widely associated with Islam, autocracy, Sharia laws, death penalties, etc. which make Armenia a "blond sheep" amongst its neighbours.

You're right 👍

Great thank you!
You're welcome!
Cyprus considers itself to be part of Europe rather than the middle east. Anybody who has been there would agree with them.
Exactly 💯
We might be part of Europe culturally, yet we Cypriots do behave and have the same mentality as our Levantine neighbours…
2:10 you show a picture of the occupied area where there is a mosque, in a video for christianity
Observation noted
Cyprus is pretty much like the Philippines that Roman Catholicism is well embedded, no divorce, no abortion, no death penalty, no cremation, no desire for revenge to wrongdoers.
No wrong...
You are correct about the no death penalty at least
@@lefteriseleftheriades7381 You mean Cyprus have an abortion, divorce, desire for revenge and cremation? That is against the Roman Catholic Church.
@@ΜαριτσαΔ There's wrong but not that heinous like the ones mentioned above.

Majority in Lebanon are Muslims
@@historychannel6 Yes. But 40% of Lebanese are Christians. It is a significant minority. That's why I said "partly Christian"
Armenia and Georgia also christian why lies
