Really good video got to make an appearance in 😂 the food look next level wanted you to get those potato wedges lol but Joburg added to my list
Yeah Joburg has got it.
Bro was in Bedfordview that's crazy. Love the content 👌🏻
Bedfordview is a good area really like it
There is a saying in South Africa in regards to the dudes in the truck (Bakkie) - "There is no one that will stare into your soul deeper than a bunch of guys on the back of a bakkie".
🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣 You have no choice but to look away!
You you chose the wrong area to stay in, and wrong setting parts to explode...try sandton, rosebank, Melrose and even some parts of Pretoria
Cmon Eddie i been subbed since 2021 when you were in Tanzania 🇹🇿..ive seen the growth nephew, yeah i suggested SA to you a couple years ago,you see what i mean now...
Glad you see the growth.
Thank you for saying “SPAR”….I love what you said about people looking at you vlogging, and how it never stops, wherever you are in the world, what does stop is “how much you care about it and how much it affects your actions”. That’s for everything in life we make the choices in life in how we respond to the day to day nuisances.
Now we know who picked the pack of LAYS chips for you😂😂😂. Peace..
Lol yeah it was off a recommendation. Also spar(s) just flows for some reason 😂
Yes flings were made for babies/toddlers when they are teething
Go to Cape Town. You’d love it there.
You airbnb is my building that I moved out a year ago and Edenvale is my hood. If you were making this video a year ago I'd have invited you up to the top floor.
Lol really? Edenvale is a solid area
@nleddie Yeah. Penthouse 1 was mine for 5 years. It would have been pretty sick to have a content creator staying with us but probably for the better since the parties used to get out of hand. Enjoy your time here, my dude. Go hit up Cape Town next. If you think Edenvale is nice Cape Town is gonna blow your mind.
I like your Vlog on South Africa! I’m a Californian who travels to South Africa every December. My husband was South African. Your video made me chuckle and happy that I’m soon leaving the US for my visit in South Africa. I’m looking forward to that.
Btw-after the recent presidential election here I looked up countries that will more easily grant residency status to Americans and saw that South Africa was one. 😊
Can I ask why exactly people are leaving or wanna leave the US after the elections?
Hey bro, subscriber from Port Elizabeth South Africa here, gotta come visit here sometime and peep the car culture ✊🏽
I am big into cars. So that sounds like a must do
@@nleddie Then if you visit Melrose Arch check out Daytona Car Dealership . You won't regret it.
I have some partners that live in South Africa. So glad you like the place.
It is hard not to like it
No man you passed on koeksister, they are not that hard but super sweet, thanks for vising our beloved country.
Yeah I here bakeries are better place to get them.
You should try Kota it's a local south African food😂
That’s bedfordview area. Edenvale is not too far though
got you. Both are chill areas
You're WEREN'T in Edenvale. You were in BEDFORDVIEW.
Bro ripped one from the whole sleeve😂😂😂
Another Great video Eddie! So, how much is your apartment there? Is it much cheaper then the US? Looks like a great place to explore!👍📸🌴🌊
Hi, I’m looking to start traveling internationally next year as an American. Idk how your traveling works but I’d love to join on a trip to help teach me international travel for the first time. I’m from Louisiana so definitely nervous lol
@@googlea2692 email me
@nleddie what’s your email?
If you want some good veggie curry especially beans in a roti try and find a takeaway place called karanichas!!! super cheap super tasty 100% vegetarian. they are originally from KZN but there is 1 in midrand area and apparently Randburg! but it can be spicy be warned!!
Hi i suggest you explore Rosebank and the mall of Africa
Mall of Africa is on my list
@@nleddie ok i suggest you also consider exploring Rosebank area it's a good spot
actually thw go to mall is Mainlyn mall in pta. its the biggest i thibk in africa
@nigelskhosana1750 Menlyn Is not bigger than Fourways Mall... the biggest Mall in Africa I think it's in Morocco
@@polymath_sa9745Fourways is the biggest in Africa dues to the squares of the mall and parking areas
This area is called Bedfordview Eden vale is super close though
You should also visit other nicer areas with good restaurants like Rosebank, Sandton city, Melrose Arch and even Bedford centre with is close to Edenvale, where you living.
Thanks for the list bro. Definitely learning the spots to visit and ones to avoid
I like your content young man, you will w joy it here in Mzansi, but most of you guys overseas are blown away by these big 4 cities JHB,CT,DBN and PTA, but do not touch down to smaller cities like Gqeberha (PE), East London, Bloemfontein etc , there is so much to learn and enjoy cause they are layback with beaches and safaris to enjoy
Yeah it's probably easier to get to the big 4. Than the smaller cities so choose those
PE have direct flights from CT,DBN,OR Tambo international everyday, we have Uber, Bolt, Private Cabs, Travel agencies, Raddison Hotel, Garden court , Marriott Pritea hotels etc, beside we have big 7 here , my frien̈d, have you ever heard big 7 😂
You can say that again! Eastern Cape tourism is really doing the province a disservice because East London and GQ are among the most beautiful cities in the country. Even local SAs don’t know the beauty that can be found along the Wild Coast 💔
Nice video bro, and marijuana is legal in SA right?
Yes.
Yes it is legal here
I still haven't watch the video but I liked and commented😂... SA FOR LIFE❤
That is much appreciate. South Africa is the place to be
Should visit sandton(mandela square, melrose arch, sandton city),midrand(waterfall, steyn city),fourways monte casino and on weekend check out prison break market or fourways farmers market wont regret
If you’re a content creator please move to jhb north, Sandton, rosebank, fourways or waterfall. You’ll get more content there- the area you’re in right now is not busy
Really is it much different than where I am now?
@@nleddieit’s more high end, sandton is “the richest square mile in africa”
Way different more life you’ll get to make more content, right one you’re in a quite suburban area there’s not much to offer
Cape town is another SA city with mind blowing views💯
Gotta see what Cape is talking
Really great video..lol 😮😮
Yeah people are liking the vlog style content.
What's good family! It looks just like back in the US. Also, I don't know anyone who has gone there and doesn't love it! Sounds like you found another place to reside 😂 Peace and blessings family. Shalom
South Africa is really a top tier country
It's about time you get a South African name if you don't have one already. I think Sbusiso aka Sbu will suits you well. It means blessings. SA is blessed to have you showing the great content.
So is this who recommended you the Lays snacks...
Also, there’s a lot of people In SA who observe Sabbath.
Really?
@ yes. The Nazareth Baptist Church, known as Shembe to most locals observe Sabbath. It’s an African initiated church. The members of the church are mostly Zulu so you’ll find them in Joburg but mostly in a city like Durban.
@@nleddieAnd UCG
go to cape town bro
For the most part South African Cities are "user friendly" for westerners.
If you can, come to Durban or go to Cape town
What's the deal with Durban? I hear lots of mixed reviews
@@nleddie same like the US, you not gonna find crime everywhere... I mean there's chill places to visit, it all depends on what interests you
BTW we have the busiest port in Africa
@@nleddie Here's a video by one of America's recent tourist who visited Durban and liked it. Channel name is *Tatsyana Travels*
ua-cam.com/video/55QTEzDDo-I/v-deo.htmlsi=j6BAp85ymAlYe11e
@@nleddieaccording to some Americans who've been there say it's like Miami. It's not that much international touristy like Cape Town but touristy for locals. It's a coastal city.
Durban has the best weather in my opinion and the nicest people. Joburg has the best grooves and malls, think heart of capitalism. Cape Town has the most beautiful views and beaches and is more the tourist hub, generally more European in aesthetic.
Should have taken the koeksisters
Try to do the street tours in the city... Street Art tour, Maboneng, Hillbrow etc. Be safe with the camera tho.
Let's be honest to avoid being mugged in SA you got to look comfortable..... It works for me when I'm in hillbrow😂😂😂
If you ever come to South African/Johannesburg again - will gladly show you around, pity you don't eat meat tho😅
Ohhh Ayanda...
Edenvale thats where TYLA the singer she is from
That my area, you in Bedford View
Word? How do you like living there?
What was your experience with south africa Police
24:26 hectic, gwababa 😂😂
Fr
Dowg! 🤣💀
True bro South Africa 🇿🇦 has all you want. It does look like Los Angeles. Stores feel like Finest or Krogers. And people are generally nice and helpful. Great content 👌
Thanks for the comment. I am enjoying the country
Are you still around. I'd like you to join us at Monte Casino (20 min from Edenvale) for a lunch. Will be happy to chat about jozi.
Bro you in Bedfordview not Eden vale
The rizz tips were valid 😅💪🏾
You need to understand South Africa is multi racial and multi cultural. Koeksisters is mainly consumed by coloured people, there are 2 types i prefer the soft one with coconut. And since in you in South Africa whenever you ask for something you must say please i would like this and this. But you must first greed hello, good morning sister or brother you will get pleasent service. Just asking for things without greeting and asking please is a no no .happy you enjoying SA it will bring the best out of yo
Koeksisters is there name go to a like a local baker shop not like shoprite, pnp etc, they become hard after a day check for freshly baked.. it's dough cooked in oil like fatcakes expect dipped in syrup..
Yeah I hear the bakeries is where to go. And also I want to try some fatcakes
You have to try dunking buttermilk rusks in your coffee! Usually people from abroad get it in international snack boxes but they eat it dry. Lol enjoy SA buddy! I'm like 15min away from you 😂.
I have not had the rusk yet.
@@nleddie please let me know what you think if you do 😉. My personal favourite is the 'Ouma' sliced buttermilk rusk but pick any you like. Just leave it in for a few seconds to soften and enjoy. 😁
A real South African would tell you to try Choice assorted, Simba chips, biltong, the guy is not South African shem. But don't eat too much sweets, try full South African meals, we're not so much into snacks.
O I see. I can try that
The area you’re in is not Edenvale it’s Bedfordview. It’s very close to were you staying which is most likely why you thought it’s Edenvale.
O i see. Yeah seems like there are some many areas super close together.
