Hi Alan, your wonderful performance of “Woman” (one of my favourite John Lennon songs) reminds me of just how much I miss and still mourn for John Lennon. I can reluctantly accept The Beatles never reuniting, but to prematurely lose such an intelligent human being and gifted musician and composer still, and always will, infuriate me and sadden me and depress me over his a tragic and senseless death.
Your performance is a beautiful tribute to a beautiful song written and sung by a beautiful person, composer, father, husband, and dear friend who will always be loved by millions.
Thank you for keeping his music alive.

Hah! I've been struggling w/ the last part of this song.... watched your vid...The capo-slide last verse/chorus really surprised me! Now then, wouldn't you know... I own 4 shubbs which do NOT slide so easily... I know I have a Kyser laying around here somewhere!

I love your lessons.This was especially goodI thought.Have you seen these rolling capos or maybe they,re called sliding capos? They could improve on the design and fit ,but they work a treat. You simply slide it up and down while playing.No need to do what you had to do ,although it wasnt too much of a problem. I think they're about 25 quid if your interested.. All the best.
