The advert behind you at the start of the vlog is awesome it's great that they have kept it so alive after so many years possibly 100+ judging by the clothes
Very nicely done. West Virginia also has its own Goatman legacy. Same back story. I really enjoy the food from the spot. There isn't much in Flatwoods, Sutton seemed to take over for the museum. It was located at the outlets before moving.
$3 get you a postcard? Damn, your not making much on that one Jacob. That’s very nice. In the end it probably costs you $3 to send people the post card ....including your time and supplies, postcard and postage.
This is great who knew this is out there to visit and see what all is out there Thanks Jacob for all you do you really are better then a travel agent for the the good old USA! :)
Awesome, the flatwoods monster is one of my favorite paranormal entities, I don't consider it a cryptid. If you haven't seen it small town monsters has an excellent documentary on it, so weird. Loving this paranormal kick you've been on.
I love how much the Japanese love the Flatwoods Monster. My first exposure to this beastie was via an alien abduction level in Majora's Mask, one of the most popular Zelda games of all time. Not bad for only the second biggest cryptid in West Virginia haha
I was really hoping the monster was going to pop up in one of the quiet shots and this whole channel would have been a real slow burn start to a sci fi series.
This is the first of your videos that I watched it was enjoyable. Interesting town and of course the most interesting creature to ever land on earth. Nice job my man !!
I have seen this before, but never knew it's name or story. Just thought it was some alien type thing that was universal. Thanks for the back story on this guy.
I watch all the historical videos connected to the Flatwoods Monster but let’s face it, there just isn’t a lot to learn about the once and done incident. I’m glad they now have a museum but maybe what it needs is a campy motion picture based on the facts and a happy meal toy.
It makes sense that the flatwoods incident happened in 1952 because that was when the whole world was obsessed with anything Alien related. I believe this creature to be some kind of cyborg based on its appearance and ability to levitate and create mist. It just makes me wonder what those people actually saw, I wish I could've been there
If you come back to Oregon you should visit Bigfoot Bites in Lebanon! They serve burgers and they are all named after cryptids! It’s pretty cool and they’re great burgers. Themed completely to a log cabin. They also play Harry and The Henderson’s 24/7. Please look into it!
I like how the small towns are promoting their monsters. Sure is more interesting than saying that your town is the home of the largest peach/orange/peanut/ear of corn etc, LOL
I have that Amagon Nintendo game from when I was a child. The instruction booklet showed the Flatwoods monster as the final boss. I never made it to him in the game, it was a difficult game and I wasn't very good! Many years later I saw the monster in a book on cryptids and I was kind of surprised, I thought it was just some strange video game character. Looking at screen shots of the game I think they captured its creepiness although not its colorfulness.
I moved away from WV three years ago. They didn't have a museum then. You should go see the Grey Barker museum in Clarksburg. He was the man that created the idea of Men in Black. Very important to scifi culture even though he never gets any credit.
I'm betting the two guys passed out drunk and woke up laying on their backs still half drunk and saw a hooded street light shining down on them, the Flatwood Monster looks like a hooded street lamp if look at from underneath looking up, especially since all the drawings look like the round "head" is glowing. lol
Are you posting a blog you had on reserve or are you home in NC? You really love all these local monsters, don't you? I heard there's a Quilt Monster , too! LOL
You started the video by saying you are in Braxton County, West Virginia. Then the very next sentence you say the state of Virginia. These are two separate states. West Virginia is the only state that has it's creation directly connected to the Civil War.
I don't believe in the owl theory, eyewitnesses said that creature was very tall about 10 feet (3 meters) and there's no way they would mistake an owl for a tall mechanical devil. The huge weird creature it was hovering above the ground and it glided towards them, it scared them to run for their lives. An owl sitting on top of a tree can't control the whole tree to move towards them, because the tree has its roots in the ground, moreover an owl is too small for it to control the whole tree to move towards them to scare. As for Mothman, Mothman is a strange humanoid creature that can fly about 2 meters high, it has red glowing eyes, an owl's eyes can't glow red and it's too small to mistake it for Mothman.
Thanks for featuring us, no once, but twice! Come back any time!!
The advert behind you at the start of the vlog is awesome it's great that they have kept it so alive after so many years possibly 100+ judging by the clothes
I didn't even know about the flat wood monster until now, thx carpetbagger!
Same!
He was pretty friendly looking. Sounds like he loves his community! Hope runs for mayor!
😂
I'm a big fan of the Flatwoods Monster.
Too much moonshine?
It looks like an old Christmas ornament.
I love how every time there's a picture thingy with holes in it, you know, so you can poke your head through, he always chooses the girl. I love it!
You cover more ground than a UFO at night. Thanks C Bagger...
This should be used for a Scooby-Doo cartoon series .
Very nicely done. West Virginia also has its own Goatman legacy. Same back story. I really enjoy the food from the spot. There isn't much in Flatwoods, Sutton seemed to take over for the museum. It was located at the outlets before moving.
That is one hell of a pair of mutton chops!!!

$3 get you a postcard? Damn, your not making much on that one Jacob. That’s very nice. In the end it probably costs you $3 to send people the post card ....including your time and supplies, postcard and postage.
This really reminds me of Fallout 76 since the Flatwoods monster is in the game.

The giant chairs are really cool. Weird tribute to the weirdest of cyptids.
I love how much the Japanese love the Flatwoods Monster. My first exposure to this beastie was via an alien abduction level in Majora's Mask, one of the most popular Zelda games of all time. Not bad for only the second biggest cryptid in West Virginia haha
The Flatwoods monster used to scare me as a kid in the 60s !! Come to think about it still does !!
I was really hoping the monster was going to pop up in one of the quiet shots and this whole channel would have been a real slow burn start to a sci fi series.
Thx notifications

5 different chairs this place really inbrasces the myth . so helpful to the people.
This is the first of your videos that I watched it was enjoyable. Interesting town and of course the most interesting creature to ever land on earth. Nice job my man !!
it's so weird seeing this channel show so many places i've never heard of, then just uploading footage of my home county :P
A handsome little town. Thanks for showing us around.
Love the lambchop sideburns. That was me in about 1973
That chemical sky is very creepy.

I have seen this before, but never knew it's name or story. Just thought it was some alien type thing that was universal. Thanks for the back story on this guy.
Never heard of this one before. Very cool. The chairs are really neat and the sandwich looked delicious. Keep Safe ❤Keep Well ❤
The words 'mothman-based economy' were the serotonin I needed today.
Wow Zelda exposed me to the flatwoods monster but I never knew it til now
Damn Jacob, Those chops are getting thick! Keep up the great content!

The Flatwoods Monster also appeared in the manga series SGT. Frog.
Yay West Virginia that where I live I love my home. Lol you need to do more videos here
Ooh, I want to go to that restaurant now. Looks like they have some really good calzones and hot sandwiches.
0:18 How are you in West Virginia and still don’t know it’s it’s own state???
I just saw that on Mysteries at the Museum about an hour ago...never heard of it before.
I clearly remember the Flatwoods Monster as a boss character in Space Harrier II for SEGA Genesis.
0:01 yep defiantly
Welcome to WV Jacob.
Hey Jacob, be sure to hit Kingwood, WV at the end of the month to attend the Buckwheat Festival.
Dude, i just hours ago watch y our video on Transworld! I loved it, you have very nice stuff! Subscribed!
Oh yeah! Heard about this one. One of our paranormal books has this story. ^^
I like how the small towns are promoting their monsters. Sure is more interesting than saying that your town is the home of the largest peach/orange/peanut/ear of corn etc, LOL

I was watching a video done by Dr. Greer and he thinks that the aliens are not here to harm us.
They should revive the lamp design for Halloween.
Nice! Flatwoods Monster is one of my top 5. I laughed too hard @ 7:47.
Monsters are awesome
Note to self: Do not drink moonshine in the woods at night.
Thanks
I still think this guy and Mothman are cute, especially Mothman!
Waiting for all these creatures on Fallout 76 cant wait
I l❤ve the Flatwoods Monster! So cool!
Don't know why, but it took the debunkers 50 years after the incident, to come up with an "official" explanation that it was a shadow of a barn owl...
Loving your new thumbnail
Good find,CB... Very Interesting..👍👹
Here for the Fallout inspiration. :)
Are you posting a blog you had on reserve or are you home in NC? You really love all these local monsters, don't you? I heard there's a Quilt Monster , too! LOL

It pissed me off too.
Great video
Hey wish I knew you were here I live Close to town on industrial avenue in Sutton wv see this building everyday would love to meet you in person
I wonder why Hollywood in the 1950's never made a Sci-Fi movie based on this alien? It would've been a shoe-in for that time period.
Wow, that is cool
ALMOST HEAVEN
I’m at the spot right now
7:06-7:08
Did I just hear someone shouting "Tactical Nuke"?! o.o
Fallout games reference
Mothman and flatwoods monster were both misidentified owls

Cool
Cool. 😎😎👍🏻
We are not in the south. Although - maybe that depends on part of the state you are in. Or who you ask.
