Definitely heaven John ,dace are lovely fish that rig could be mine I’d set up like that ,thanks for the vid who cares how big they are they’re wild as wild can be it’s a privilege to be able to fish for these stunning little silver beauties, cheers mate look forward to more ,tight lines.Roy
Thanks Roy, can't always catch the monsters, though I've just had a trip to the Trent, 10barbel to 10lb 2 and a couple of chub to 5lb 2. Last night by contrast I was on the nidd catching dace and roach on the stick. I don't think many people fish the loafer these days or bulk shotted rigs but they definitely have a time and place. Tight lines to you too.🎣
Thanks Gary, not the biggest of fish but an enjoyable day hitting bites and listening to the flow, just love the unknown element on rivers, what's the next fish...a minnow, or a 7lb chub?
hi ,john .took me back thirty seven years ,fished at myton grange and topcliffe cundall also a very nice place in the countryside . as always a great vid, keep them coming, stan in sunny california it is 47 degrees centegrade or 127 degrees farenheight in palm springs dang hot. cheers .
Hi Stan, nice little trip down memory lane for you. I know all those venues you mention but Myton Grange is no longer available. 47! Too hot that for me mate, stay safe and hydrated in the sun, which reminds me, best grab another beer .🍻 Cheers
Was down the swale late afternoon with the missus… we had a few nice perch on small lures and what a beautiful river. So glad to be back on flowing water. Cracking video as always and amazing scenery… well done buddy 👍🏽😀🎣
@@HOOKEDFishingChannel my old man loves his barbel fishing … I use too and had some lovely ones out of the swale …. Got into light lure fishing and that was it .. never been barbel fishing for nearly 5 years now …. Get some nice chub too whilst trying to get them stripey’s !! Love watching your videos as with work and Family commitments I don’t get to go out fishing as much as I would love to … The lighter nights help so I can go after work for a couple of hours now and then … After watching some of your videos of you fishing the river derwent that’s one of the Rivers I have never fished and surely there must be some perch lurking around somewhere !! Just so many places to try but by time you go back to all your favourite spots winters back !!’ thank you for your reply look forward to watching your next video 👍🏽😀
@@johnloxley8705 at least you're getting out there and having a go and utilising the time you have. I like the short evening sessions too, not too much kit, go fairly local and can be fishing very quickly. Today is the polar opposite and I'm out on the river master's match on the Ouse with a truck load of kit...at least we can park at the pegs so I don't have to barrow it all. There's definitely some nice perch in the Derwent around Sutton, they must be elsewhere in its reaches. Thanks for your support.
Me and my dad fish the nidd Kev wincup of carpvally had a bit of it good fishing £25 year 90s😁 was on the river hull last week good fishing whip to ✋ all day

A great way to start the season, watching a float for owt that comes along.
Great video on my local river and trotting. Proper fishing.
Wise choice of venue for the conditions John. The fish don't have to be monsters to have fun, glad to see you back on flowing water.
Thanks Keith, we'll have to sort a day out soon.
@@HOOKEDFishingChannel Yep! look forward to that.
Great vid pal, some nice dace, not so nice minnows and a lovely chub. Looks like heaven to me lol 🎣

What no sea fishing gear and an old man smoking a cigar?
Plenty of those out there although the younger generation often prefer something more fruity 🤣
