    Great recap, Tom. Man, you sure covered a lot of ground in 2022 and I look forward to watching in 2023. Happy New Year, buddy. Scott

      Thanks Scott. I saw a few other channels doing it and thought it was a great to drop a waypoint for navigating 2023. Happy New Year! 🎉✨🧨

    For me 2022’s big win was replacing a drawer box in the kitchen. The old one was made of particle board with locking dado corners. The new one was made with maple joined with dovetails. I have also found an inexpensive source of hardwood-thrift store furniture. It takes only an hour to take a dining table apart.

    • @woodshopnerdery
      @woodshopnerdery  Рік тому

      Yes that does sound like a win. I’ve gotten lots of usable maple from old solid wood dressers, myself.

    You are a more skilled woodworker than I so I'm learning much from your wood working . I live with my father in law's mark 510. My retirement and the mark 510 is keeping life interesting. Many more interesting videos Happy new year!

      Thanks James, I'm a student trying to learn something new with each project. The 510 is an excellent system as long as it's caught up on maintenance and alignment. The 520 and Mark 7 have some nice convenience features but . . . Thanks for the encouragement. Happy New Year.

    Great video. I always enjoy watching your videos. You stick with SS equipment, and show everyone who doesn’t have a lot of room you can still do quality work. Keep up the great work. Hope the coming year is great to you and your family.

    Hey Tom, I found your channel this year and I have really enjoyed the content that I have watched. For me it’s a pleasant relief to watch someone creating that is not led by anything other than the love of the craft and sharing with others. The funny thing is I don’t own a Shopsmith and at this point would not have room to set one up if I did lol. Looking forward to next years catalog of work. Hoping you and your have a happy new year.

    • @woodshopnerdery
      @woodshopnerdery  Рік тому

      Thank you so much for your support Chris. I do talk about shopsmith a lot because that is what I have. But it is a general woodworking channel. Happy New Year!

      @@woodshopnerdery it’s all good, I have been really intrigued by the Shopsmith system and have watched others as well. I will probably try to pick one up some time in the future not to replace my tools but to add to what I have. What really blew my mind is when I looked up the address for Shopsmith on google earth and realized that there located about 2 minutes by foot from where I grew up lol

    • @woodshopnerdery
      @woodshopnerdery  Рік тому

      @@chrisp7957 I grew up in Union OH just north of Englewood. Went to Northmont Highschool. Just got back from a Christmas visit to my parents house who still live about 5-7 minute drive from Shopsmith's Poe Avenue address. And I had never heard of them until moving to Chicago area and researching tools.

    I have enjoyed your videos over the past few years. Great to see you expand your skills and UA-cam audience! I work at a woodworking school and have access to 3 huge shops, but my home shop is based around a Shopsmith since it is in our garage and I have the same need to park cars in the garage when it snows. Keep up the great work and I wish you well in the new year! -mj

    If you ever! decide to come to western Colorado you have a place to stay. Excellent production you’ve done. I used to make and sell videos using the Commodore Amiga, NewTek’s Video Toaster. At that time most was software driven.
    Even now to get a good product requires knowledge , finesse and time.
