I have this post in the 30.9x150mm version. Best one out there for ease of adjustment in changing dropper length. The problem I have is that a very low torque on the seat post bolts results in freezing up the seat post. Anything over about 2NM prevents it from dropping, or if dropped, from coming up. Have you had this issue?

Thanks for watching! I haven’t had that issue at all. My post is about 1.5 years old now. I would definitely reach out to PNW and see what they say. Good luck 🤘🏼

I have the same dropper/lever combo on my Following v3. The bike came with a Bike Yoke Revive dropper and I constantly had problems with that one sticking at various points in the travel, despite doing the "revive" and adjusting air pressure. All my bikes had PNW droppers with no problems so I moved to the Rainier. Bonus I was able to move from the 160mm Bike Yoke to the 170mm Rainier, and it's pretty much slammed all the way down just like yours. The adjustability gave me some peace of mind to really push the limit on length when choosing the post, plus has the advantage that if I want to loan the bike to someone with a slightly shorter inseam, the length of the post won't be a problem. My only complaint with the lever is that I got a terrible color match with the cement lever/cement grips. According to PNW they are a different material so a good match is not guaranteed. I went back and forth with PNW with a few different levers and finally gave up on color matching and settled on just going with the black pad on the lever. They were cool working with me about it. In hindsight I prefer this since now my grip color can be changed with no thought given to matching a component that would cost $70 to replace.

That’s really interesting, because I’ve had similar experiences. I’ve had 2 Bike Yoke Revive posts. First one started giving me issues after a year. Got one on my new Insurgent as well. I agree, though, the PNW stuff is so reliable and I love the ability to adjust to travel for the very same reasons you mentioned. Good stuff. Thanks for the feedback and your support of the channel! 🤘🏼

I purchased the PNW Coast dropper for my hard tail. The 40mm of built in suspension is perfect for taking out minor bumps on a long ride. Or, capable of hitting a single track. Combined with the Loam lever, it's a great choice for a gravel bike.

Nice, Gary! Yeah all of their stuff I’ve tried has been really solid. I’ve got something new from them to try so stay tuned for another review soon!
