Wesley Chapel! That's where we went for Hurricane Milton! Except my brother didn't listen to the weather forecast and didn't make a reservation for Wednesday just Monday and Tuesday. So we ended up in Lutz. It was good though. I've been living between Seminole and Largo since 2001 and I've never been up there. I haven't been anywhere since 2008. But we live in a non-evac area. I just didn't have the energy to spend an extra week with no power. So as it turned out we spent it with no power and no water! But we had some buckets of water. It was almost like a vacation as long as you don't mind sleeping on a mattress on the floor in someone's house and sitting in a gas line for 3 hours and then not getting any gas.. It was okay :-) But no, I don't ever want to live in an HOA. Never never never never please please never. I never even heard of these things before I moved to Florida.
@@trulivingtampa I'm still curious what it was like over here / back home while we were gone and I've been looking for videos although I'm sure most people weren't into taking videos at night during storms. We live in incorporated Pinellas, between Seminole and Largo - literally the house next door to us is for some reason in Seminole and then there's four houses that are unincorporated. I think when I moved here there was somebody coming down the street with a clipboard asking people if they wanted to become part of Seminole. I don't know for sure because I asked my mother and she wasn't always big on details. And it hasn't rained enough since for us to find out whether our my roommate got all the roof leaks fixed. But I remember Irma. Watching transformers blow from the living room. And 3 days of power outage and cable was out for two more days so that I never really saw what happened (I was unemployed and my car was dead). I just remember how hot it was. And how excited I was to get one of those free local papers dropped on my doorstep. It was like living in the '40s. (And I don't think the radio really would have helped). Anyway after Irma and after those exciting four days of Frances (followed by 4 days of work where we had a kamikaze squirrel take out enough power to kill our air conditioning and they were still working on the power outages from Ivan and Jeanne) I didn't want to go through it again. And then I think Monday morning it looked even scarier. Wesley Chapel is very nice. But we were just off 54 and 56 I think - we kept getting lost.
The 1/2 bath is a powder room. I have friends on acreage near 54 and the Suncoast. Nice area, I wasn't aware of it. I left Tampa Bay and live on the east coast now...
Wow... Average home is $441,000. That's half the price of a townhouse in Falls Church, Virginia. I live in McLean Virginia and most of the SFH in my neighborhood is around 3M+ 😂
