"suave and charming on the outside , but cold and vile on the inside." i enjoy vampire stories for this reason. at least you know why they're assholes. irl you're just left confused and depressed. i think it's the same reason the "elites are reptiles" conspiracy is so attractive to some people. we have trouble dealing with the notion that human beings can be so terrible, so we introduce the idea of the supernatural.
It is hard to pull off a horror mission when you play as a badass soldier or even a supernatural and powerful creature... That's why I remember the horror missions from the Thief franchise so fondly, as you are used in that game to avoid combat. However, VTMB and The Witcher 3 still made a solid impression in this respect.
Amazing video! I love this game so much! It's atmosphere is just like you say, and characters are diverse and each of them are special and fun. The face animations are so good that it doesn't feel like I'm playing and old game. It's only been a year since I played this masterpiece for the first time and I finished it three times in a row and I play it every few months. I hope you keep making videos like this. It's a joy to watch them.
Yea! How are the facial animations so good for a 2004 game? Its honestly crazy haha. Also, Thanks! I'm gona keep making videos about Bloodlines for sure!
Love your eloquence. Very accurate and precise choice of words. Played VtMB in 2005 and have been playing it since, the atmosphere and music are unparalleled. This, Planescape T, and New Vegas, hit that perfect RPG spot for me.
Excellent breakdown of the atmosphere. It's definitely intoxicating in this video game and has lasted far passed it's time. Let's hope Bloodlines 2 will be a perfect successor in a new location. 🍷
Man I love VtMB...absolutely great memories! You can feel the love the devs put in. Malks are an absolute blast. Actually I’m going to reinstall it again!
My father bought this game when I was around ten years old and I remember playing it. I had to get him to complete the haunted house part I was so scared lol
Truly remarkable job! Yes you literally nail it with everything about the game! But there’s few fact that some characters are more awful then they’re , remember some of those on the club might become her evening meal or worst forced emraced and either “work” or throw to the street. Let alone her servant who kindnap people for blood . It’s shady business of the cammarila , even some Anarch do it, which it’s one of their survival
The band also made the theme for the TV series Angel which was a dark fantasy comedy in the style of a film noir and obviously a Buffy spinoff... At times, it had a quite similar vibe.
Never quite played through it, but I think I have two or three installs on my external harddrive? The game feels less like a game and more like a world. Any and all Morrowind and New Vegas fans know what I mean. You can lose yourself within, just walking around and feeling like you belong there.
I have been away from videogames for a year. Does any new game have the detail and feel of gothic or vampire games? let me know plz. I have played several games and have pathologic 2 on mi list but I am looking for others when I came back to gaming again... Salut
It's incredible how everywhere had a dirty, seedy feel... You never felt at ease once
I played Bloodlines so much that I now know timing of stairs crumbling and just jump over to skip that portion of the level
whoa... I had no idea that was a thing.
@@GamedevAdventures yeah I decided to try it and it worked after a few reloads

@James Brincefield i'm not talking about the adolf hitler's of the world. the evil is closer than most people realize.
"Let's take a look at the ocean house hotel..." -No, please, let's just noclip through this experience as usual. Still terrified.
I had to replay it like 5 times to get all the footage I wanted. It was rough.
@@GamedevAdventures That's what I call dedication. Nicely done.
The music of this game is sooo good.
Quite possibly the best game soundtrack ever made.
