    Whatever you’re gonna carry, carry the one that you are most accurate with and you know is reliable. $500 or $5000 I don’t care if it gets confiscated. If it save my life or my loved ones you can’t put a price on that.

      No. You carry gun that you will carry all day, everyday, years on end. Keyboard warriors and tacticool ex military etc bsing their way trough inter tubes with no end in sight. Worst part is this people give advice that some inexperienced person trying to do the right thing is going to listen to. This advisors don’t carry every day, they are just pretending and commenting in this kind of videos .
      Glock 42,43 or variant of Sig 365 subcompact stock with no bs added is your good choice.

    I agree with everything you said. Keeping it real as well as a full size weapon light. I am getting a Glock 19 soon as my second firearm and going to have a stream light tlr 7A on it. Fits flush and keeps it all compact. I am a college student going for criminal justice and law enforcement as a career. When I get to my career that’s when I will buy a full size pistol and make it my duty carry with the x300 and the aim point red dot. Amazing video

  • @rickjames4031
    @rickjames4031 7 місяців тому +1

    Honest. Most guys use a light for nothing. But carry. Most guys use the knife for strictly fashion. But still carry. You said the light will most likely be used to find something you dropped on the floor, yes that’s most true. And doesn’t matter the cut or presentation of their knife, for their application. Very true. Very practical.

    Very cool. Thank you for going over your setups. Subbed!

  • @bruinranger13
    @bruinranger13 11 місяців тому +1

    Honestly I’ve found the light makes it more comfortable. The more there is below the fulcrum of the belt, the less it jabs your pelvis, but keeps the gun from tipping away from the body. I carry with a full size gun and an x300t with a spare mag and work in a trade moving around and bending a bunch.
    Also, the whole point of a light is PID , navigation (when you already know you need your gun out, not for in general) and potentially removing the eye sight on whoever needed a gun drawn on them. On top of that, especially in urban areas, candela really helps to punch through photonic barriers. Handheld is definitely going to get waaaay more use than a pistol light in every day use though, but still. I only want a light with more flood if it’s dedicated to be in a house.

    The main reason to carry an extra mag is not because you may need 40 rounds, it’s because you will more likely to need it in case of a malfunction. The number one reason for weapons malfunctions are faulty magazines. Just a thought.

    • @Motorcyclewindtherapy
      @Motorcyclewindtherapy 10 місяців тому

      If I didn't carry a G17 backup mag for my G26... I'd probably just carry a pair of J frames and maybe a NAA mini as a 3rd. I was an armorer in the infantry... you nailed it. Mags are the weak point in semiautomatics. It's a rock to throw without a spare mag if it malfunctions.

      Let’s talk logically here, in normal everyday life you’re going to draw your handgun and detach the WML? Unnecessary administrative handling of a firearm is dangerous. I've wondered this myself lately. I've switched from offensive gear/training to more defensive (stop the bleed coarse, how to actually use IFAKs etc etc).
      You have a very valid point. TQs are extremely situational. They're completely useless outside of arms/legs.
      I'm starting to wonder if the people that carry only a TQ are only doing so because it seems to be cool now.
      If you can carry a TQ, you can also carry packing gauze or an entire IFAK.

Dots offer no advantage over iron sights ar combat distance! When it's not legal to point a pistol at someone, it's not legal to shine a light on them attatched to the barrel of a pistol! So you need a hand light! I've been using the neck index flashlight technique & shoot 1 handed since before dots/lights were put on pistols. You need to learn how to shoot 1 handed incase your suport arm gets shot! So if you practice 1 handed shooting,nyou get good at it. I'm just a grumpy old man, proud not to be one of the cool kids!

    My advice, buy a pistol and make sure it works and you can use it. That’s all you need to do. I’m from Oakland ca and I was in a gun fight at night. Guess what gun I had. Yep a hi point. It got the job done. A person who has never been in a gun fight will panic and won’t have time to use that fancy light or that red dot. Just carry the gun.
