By far the most realistic and educational EDC video I've seen. None of this, "You need to carry 3 knives, 2 lights 2 multi-tools and a high-school janitor's worth of keys" nonsense. You got a sub!

I frequently check these EDC vids for better versions of what I carry, better ways to carry them or items that I have not seen before that make sense to carry. Yours just showed me this SOF T tourniquet. I had not seen this version before, so I ordered one. The CAT’s that I have been putting in my med kits are a lot bulkier. The SOF T will be easier to fit in my EDC kit.

Absolutely! Glad to help. The SOFTTW is definitely a perfect edc TQ, and recommended by the committee on TCCC. it’s not as easy for self aid, but still does a great job and is in a form factor that allows me to carry it easily. The TQ you have on you is better than the one out of reach.
Great presentation! Since I was 8 years old, a pocket knife has been part of my must carry EDC - long before the wallet or keys. Hand held lights are almost a must as since I started carrying one more regularly, I’ve used one more frequently. Like your comments about the multi tool. I have one in a bag and used it rarely. Good shooting BTW - and I like the Tacoma anti theft device.

Great video! Finally another TACOMA owner who isnt an ext or crew cab! Haha, ANDDDD another manual!!! Mine is a 2010, had a rusted frame, and bed was eaten through side and tail gate. When I finally moved away from ocean and sought dry hot weather, and the state I am in also allowed for KEI trucks to be reg and driven everywhere except highway and freeway, which was fine by me. I had gotten a 2023 Hijet jumbo cab and had been enjoying. Custom frame. Long bed from another tacoma. 6.2L LSX 6spd bigger brakes all around and so on. The added power, longer bed, allowed me to build a 4 season pop up camper in bed that was a bit longer for interior comfort. Now installing bigger brake kit and turbo kit in the hijet, and adding a slightly larger fuel tank too. For the tacoma have small boat purposed wood stove thats removeable. Have panels up top and a few battle born batteries. Have a 12v ac unit up top my kids installed, they did all the wiring and solar hahaha.
My EDC is pretty basic. P365 X Macro with a wml prototype USBC rechargeable unit called a lumenos, and 2 21rd mag reloads, a proto type hand held usbc rechargeable light thats programable a proto type called a lumenos a friend has offered our circle. I run in 5000L high 900L medium and 75 low. Carry a TQ on me. A spartan cqb dagger. sog powerpint multitool. wallet. For a bag depends on what I am doing, but I usually have a vertx bag like yours I call the GROGU bag haha. I run a custom fold out deploy modular chassis with a brace, with a p365 xm module, and it runs a 21rd mag in it, and I have 35rd sticks we produce for our chassis, which is produced for our local DIU guys. Have a dark angel kit in bag, 2 extra tq, packing, etc etc. soft armor insert. headlamp. spare recharge batts and cable as well charging brick. carry a tshirt, boxers, shorts, socks, and crocs at bottom. Esee 3 in there, water bottle from grayl with ti body. Moleskine notebooks, sharpie roller .5 pens, anker power pack, ipad, keyboard, granola bars, candy, sugar free drink packets, instant coffee packets, small solar panel and unit from goal zero, will be upgrading to larger yellow vertx bag and also checking out their new socp fanny in yellow!

Hey I love that you carry a flashlight and pocket knife as I do as well, I'm a huge Knife and Flashlight enthusiast.I recommended the Fenix LD30 $80, I believe it is ONE of the greatest EDC flashlights of all time. It's got an insane strobe light, SOS, battery 🔋 indicator, 1,600 Lumens Turbo, titanium S pocket clip like yours, 3500 mah battery rechargeable. It's much smaller than yours, but I see you have more of a thrower flashlight with higher candela where mine only has 10,000 candela yours probably has more. I love your EDC (fantastic knife choice) and great video. I just thought I'd throw out another flashlight option.

Great vid! Being in the military I already look like a stereotype so I try to go as greyman as possible so no military or tacticool related clothing for me besides maybe my garmin watch lol. And not being able to carry to and from work really blows

love the content and your breakdown on your edc!! You and i have a similar body type and im having a hard time figuring out whats the most comfortable way to carry my CZ p10s, ive been carrying strong side but i wanted your thoughts on appendix. Why do you carry appendix position over anywhere else? How comfortable/ uncomfortable should it be when sitting or standing? Do you have move the holster up or down when having to sit/stand? how do you best prevent printing? (cause i feel like the magazine sticks out so much especially since i dont have a wedge) Thanks!!

Yep I always have extras. And the lock pick set is in my bag. I used to be a locksmith by trade so I can’t not have that with me.

Heck yeah man! Trying to rope as much performance shooting into our videos as we can, even gear videos. Not enough UA-camrs who can/will shoot. Mag dumps are cool and cinematic but the rest of us just wanna shoot!

Blue Alpha belts all day every day! We both have been using and recommending them for years. I (Justin) personally use the Low Profile EDC belt, and Brennan uses the Hybrid EDC belt which is pictured in the video. Both great options!

Cool video! Definitely a new subscriber. I’m looking for different pants, jeans, shirts, etc that’s good for edc. That’s definitely a video I would appreciate some where down the line. Thanks for the content.
To be perfectly honest, my wardrobe didn’t really change much when I started carrying. Some pants have better pockets, etc but just get a hood belt, make sure your shirts aren’t super tight, and you’re good to go. Concealment is much more about understanding how your body works and how concealment principles affect you than it is about dressing around the gun.
Find flexible yet fitted type pants. I look for pants that are stretchy, spaced out loops and pocket separation. Tactical distributors Carlos Ray are nice, prism makes great jeans but I love my vertx delta stretch

I just moved to Texas and with it being 100° everyday I’m looking at Fanny pack carry. I’m fairly confident I can get out of any trouble I’m personally in with POM pepper spray and a bright light. Otherwise if I need more than a scramble, jab, right cross, and getaway sticks, I guess I’ll die
Fanny pack is a definite option. Check out the Blue Alpha Fanny 😏 but yeah we’ve definitely done the whole Fanny pack carry before. It’s absolutely got it’s benefits!

Have you considered trying the T-Rex Arms Sidecar, and getting the TQ attachment? You'd lose a mag but at least thats one less thing in your pocket. I leave the spare mag in the vehicle.
I have. However the TQ doesn’t take up much space at all, and personally I prefer to have the extra mag. I also dislike the sidecar. Does not wear well on my body.
As you said medical gear in edc is highly debated, but in my opinion it is pretty simple if you have something on you that can take lifes you should also be able to save lifes.

I don't see any other type of force option, other than deadly force. Have you consider OC Spray or a baton. Not all self defense scenarios justify the use of a firearm. Just something to consider.

I like my essentials: spectacles, testicles, wallet and watch.
But for real: keys, wallet, EDC knife, and a Shield Plus with extra mag, mainly it conceals better. I will carry a cheetah or 92 in colder months.

Are those Merrill’s good in the water? I’ve been looking at them but people have said they aren’t. Even though they are claimed to be water proof.
They will get your socks wet so they are not very good with water
I haven’t had an issue with the waterproofing but they’ve worn out on me a little earlier than I was hoping.

Unfortunately I believe this is a law enforcement model only. They do major a FDE 5” with front serrations tho! Otherwise will have to find used.

There is never a need for press checks. You should always know the condition of your firearm.
Where did you read or hear that statistic about a knife being taken away and used against you ?
That’s entirely from my own experience in classes such as Craig Douglas’s ECQC. Of course you can mitigate this problem with proper training, but a knife in an untrained hand is dangerous.
@@GatewayDefense dude. I’ve been practicing JKD and Kali for over 12 years now. A knife is the most difficult thing to take away from someone. If they told you that in whatever class that was, you probably waisted your money.
