    I can appreciate this issue from the customer's point of view... but from a designer's position, it's an incredible investment of time, effort, and calculations to develop pattern instructions for multiple sizes. I do try to do it as much as possible though.

    Make a chain that reaches from elbow to elbow, when wrapped around your back, in the same manner as you would be wearing the shrug. Leave a long yarn end in case the number of chains need to be adjusted when you reach the end of the chain. You can add the extra stitches with the yarn end.

  • @Hectanooga1
    @Hectanooga1  11 років тому +2

    Try chain 125, then put the chain around yourself as though wearing the shrug, see if the chain reaches from one elbow to the other.. if not add more stitches in sets of 10, then continue with the pattern.
    Yes, for more coverage, simply add more rows.

    Probably chain 155... but if you want longer sleeves, add more stitches 10 at a time. Best solution would be to make a foundation chain, and then put it around your back as though wearing it, and see where the sleeves end up.

    Shorts seem to be an incredibly sought after pattern. I have really worked hard on this one, so that I could provide a pattern that would allow everyone to be able to make shorts of any size. Being a seamstress also, I have devised a way to make them in the same manner as cutting and sewing clothes. I will be posting soon... maybe as early as tomorrow!!
