I managed to fix it by physically pushing the shuttle left when it was starting up and failing to get there. it cuased another error which meant I needed to turn the printer off and on again but it's now functioning normally again (for now!).
It won't damage the motors but it threw the APG setting off. All you want to do is to go left. His capping station alignment was off or the printhead lock was off, so he can fix it by pushing it to the left.
@@bluemango3159 Sure, but I was also desperate and frustrated! I've bought a new printer now as the fault kept on repeating periodically on both of my old (2.5 hard years) 8550s. New one works flawlessly so far.
