The blade of mercy talisman could be a bloodborne reference as Eileen has a weapon of the same name. The talisman's description also says it was used by someone who killed their own kind if they lost their way, very similar the Eileen being a hunter of hunters.
I agree that the name is likely a reference, but the Elden Ring talisman only says "Hornsent employed this to honorably end the suffering of a compatriot." This doesn't imply that it was used to kill hornsent who lost their way.

Personally I’d say the spider scorpions in ER are most definitely a reference to the giant spiders in the nightmare of Mensis instead of the scorpion enemies in the chalice dungeons. The way they hand in the entrance hall immediately reminded me of that moment. There’s also the drop into the unknown in the dragon cave, just like in Sekiro to access the Ashina depths.

I think the connection between the monk and Midra is less a callback from one to the other and more about both of them being inspired by the King in Yellow, a motif I was so happy we got in a proper boss

While this is likely the main source, data divers for Demon's Souls found that an outright fight with the Old Monk who conquered Latria was planned at one point in development. Looking at the cutscene and model found for this, Midra's second phase may have finally been From Software's way of developing this idea into a proper boss fight of its own.
Few things I'd add is definitely more callbacks during Radahn fight, being the Artorias flip from DS1, and one combo is pretty similar to Pontiff Sulyvahn's combo (if you exclude the flashing afterstrikes in Radahn's case). Also I know it's not callback to previous games, but I really like the detail that Radahn (who looks up to Godfrey) uses his stomp attack
I think FROM paid tribute to Soulslikes from other devs as well. Divine Beast Dancing Lion theme sounds straight out of Blasphemous; and Rellana's phase 2 elemental ranged barrage mirrors a boss from Nioh, Toyotomi Hidemori.
On Bloodborne, please do tell me you also see Ebrietas' animations and overall moveset in the ScaduTree Avatar. It's even got the space lasers! On a second note, Metyr also reminds me of her in the 'abandoned by the cosmos' respect, but that's far more vague.
Partly confident about Bayle and Midir? I have complete confidence. Bayle is the only dragon to be designed with the same head-only philosophy as Midir. They even have a lot of nearly identical moves. Besides, they're both part of a longer tradition of DLC dragons.

I agreed with a lot of these comparisons, except the Dancing Lion. The Dancing Lion isn't really an amalgamation. It's a suit being piloted by two people, used for primarily hornsent worship and rituals. Of course, they're still a very deadly foe, given their magical abilities and the armored nature of the lion suit - but they are indeed just two guys in a suit. I believe Zullie the Witch did a video going over the Dancing Lion's model, revealing that. That said, the Dancing Lions were created in mimicry of the "Divine Beasts," who were Crucible lions. The Divine Beasts could be considered a comparison to Ludwig on that basis, since the Crucible is like a melting pot of life energies, but it does still seem odd to compare them with Ludwig. Naturally-occuring magic lion with eldritch werehorse. I think the easier comparison to Ludwig comes from the Grafted Scions. They both used to be human (or human adjacent), they were both artificially transformed into an eldritch horror, and they both wield swords. Also, have you ever noticed the likeness between Ludwig's design and a certain horse from Berserk? It probably ruined my day when I realized that. Similarly, but less disturbing, the Dancing Lions are almost certainly references to the dancing lions in Chinese culture. Very neat.
I think scadutree frags should have been treated like Battle Memories. It could tie into the fact that they provide power, with bigger bosses dropping more. I know you are supposed to explore, but I am dreading my second playthrough. ER builds are already time-consuming enough to set up.
5:16 Actually, the lower head is a minor trait that all the minor ER dragon has. In fact Is recomended to learn how to hit them on the head as both posture and base damage are larger by a margin large enough to be preferable to hit over their legs, even if at first is harder to do. Makes the fight much less tedious.
I don't necessarily think previous souls games were the inspiration behind similair themes/ encounters in Elden Ring. Rather, I think some repetition is simply unavoidable at this point. I also think carrying over certain weapons or movesets doesn't so much constitute inspiration as it does simply reusing assets. As such the whole likelyhood-rating felt quite off. Still, I appreciated many of the similarities here. Since making Demon's Souls, From have revisited many themes and weapons from previous games, more than one might think. I remember disliking it when I first played Dark Souls, but now that I've grown accustomed to it and learnt a bit more about game development, I realize how necessary it is to reuse assets and hone previous ideas with potential for growth. Now it's just fun to see them improve.

DS3 the set is named Oolacile set. Dark Lurker appears angelic and tree like, duplicates ( Pontiff Like no? ), demonstrates hexes, light, and pyromancy. And King Jeremiah wears the same set and is a pyromancer. Oh man I forgot about Old Monk. He was a rouge soul arts user exiled similarly to King Jeremiah of DS1! So bam. Where's my job interview I'm hungry. As for call backs. The GW is like Oedon of Bloodborne. If you read Oera Linde Buk Oedon in our world is eerily similar to both.
Oedon is the Outer God of Bloodborne relishing in men's fear of the unknown and thirst for knowledge. Also, Moon Presence is the Elden Beast of Bloodborne. Nobody can convince me otherwise.
Stuff like the winter lanterns/aging untouchable or the water release cutscene are about as much of a callback as possible, while fromsoft is known to reuse concepts and assets these examples are undeniably callbacks
not a big fan of the main game tbf had miles more fun in the dlc. i dont really like the dark souls formula feels tired and overused i much prefer bloodbornes enemies and level designs etc. only reason i played elden ring is cause i found out frenzy was a thing when i was watching my friend play the game and i wanted to do a build around that nothin else really interests me. same with the armors i like vykes and thats about it dont like all the flashy gold and fancy looking ones i prefer my weapons and armor to be battle damaged

Lol I been watching cell the gamer play the randomizer mod where all enemies are command gaius the pig rider. I've never seen a man scream NO WAYYYY MANN!!! so many times hahaha. Bro died almost 200 times before reaching Liurnia after like 8 hours of playing and being sad and confused lololol. Some players really want to torture themselves haha.
I ve seen a Guy Who completed DS1, including Undead Asylum at level 1 were you have that Broken Sword, while every enemy was Gwyn, Lord of Cinder. Full health, no bs. And the same Guy did the same with Slave Knight Gael on DS3.

The DLC as a whole feels a lot like Dark Souls 1 in its level design, the world is a lot more interconnected than The Lands Between
It felt good, seeing areas from a far 50 hours before actually getting there.

As for call backs. The GW is like Oedon of Bloodborne. If you read Oera Linde Buk Oedon in our world is eerily similar to both.

not a big fan of the main game tbf had miles more fun in the dlc. i dont really like the dark souls formula feels tired and overused i much prefer bloodbornes enemies and level designs etc. only reason i played elden ring is cause i found out frenzy was a thing when i was watching my friend play the game and i wanted to do a build around that nothin else really interests me. same with the armors i like vykes and thats about it dont like all the flashy gold and fancy looking ones i prefer my weapons and armor to be battle damaged
