- Master duel has finally done it! They've included animations for all of the Egyptian god cards, of course today I had to check out my all time favorite slifer the sky dragon! Can we find a way to get some wins with him all the way up in master rank!

Lab is pretty fun actually. Good players don't even play floodgates, it's just a great trap engine.
Sorry @Rhymestyle I think Kash is a toxic deck.
I prefer to lose to a labyrinth player over Kash no Brainer player.
Love the warm up duel replay commentary, these kinds of small tidbits bring so much more enjoyment as a viewer. That and it's just nice to see for those who aren't familiar with an archetype.

Seeing Dotodoya go from bunny rank to master is like seeing your kid grow up and graduate high school. You just get such a strong feeling of pride and being proud.

As a certified Invoked Generaider enjoyer, I can confirm the deck is super bricky. You either open with Loptr or Vala + 1 or you put your hand on your deck and go home. But when we get to cook, it's a 5 star Michelin experience
Facing generaider is my personal hell because yall always have the combo you need everytime lmao

As someone that played the fiend maids in the event, that was pretty good Labrynth play as best as I can tell, at least until you went for content. Knowing how to quickly recycle Cooclock with the other furniture is where you separate the boys from the men in that deck.

@@DotoDoya You'll want to use the furniture discard effect on the End Phase so your opponent can't remove whatever cards you set. Also, unless you're planning on activating Big Welcome, use Cooclock's GY effect to add it to your hand instead of special summoning it. Hope this helps.

Gamma still negates borgor because gamma is not a target negate. Bouncing a card off the field only dodges a target. Could be a destruction effect or a negation effect. Targets happen after the chain begins resolving, not before. So if a card that was targeted leaves the field before that effect in the chain resolves, there's no longer a monster to target and thus, the effect that's as targeting it cannot resolve.
Gamma and ash blossom do not target to negate so bouncing your card doesn't dodge the negation. Veiler and imperm DO target to negate though so bouncing a card back would stop it from being negated by those.
What the VS player prevented by bouncing the borgor was the destruction, because the game checks where the card was at the moment of activation and again at the moment of resolution, so the borgor dodge the pop because it was no longer on the field, where would have being pop.
Labrynth? Rhyme would look at you in disgust.

Being able to recycle sky god to use slifer was actually a really cool way to make it usable. And made for a more interesting watch than other videos where it's just a deck that's already incredible with just a one of god put in as a brick
Obelisk works really well in lab too! You can use furniture to discard soul energy max, then banish it from grave to search obelisk and immediately normal summon it
dawg found vanquish soul and just decided to get to master after spending half his career in Bee V. Love to see it
Mad respect for trying a new deck in Master tho, specifically Labrynth which has so many quirks, I've also played it and I too felt the pain of many misplays before learning the deck 😂

In ur intro duel you mentioned how your extra deck is just filler it can be used for so much more
By simply playing 1 dogmatika punishment it allows you to play cards in your extra deck like Elder Entity N'tss(for an extra pop after DP resolves), and Tri-brigade arms B2 to pop big monsters then when he hits the GY resolve his effect send Garura and get a free draw. You can also play fossil warrior skull knight, and fossil machine skull wagon for the same effect but they don't come up as often.
I agree with @arronwhipple748 I'd also recommend adding Muckraker. She protects your fiends and you can discard a monster to special summon one fiend from your gy.

I absolutely love Labyrinth I’ve been using that deck with virus traps and hole traps
That was pretty good for a first time using labrynth, even though there was a lot of miss play's you pretty much got it down. while i have alot of tips i can give you the main one is that your extra deck matters a bit more. cards like ntss and garuda will help alot when using dogmatica punishment, there a few more that disrupts or give advantage even if the main goal is to summon slifer.
I really like playing Labrynth so maybe I’ll actually try this deck out
It’s pretty fun and while yeah it’s a gimmick it’s actually decent and can feel strong in some scenarios!

just so you know, you can dodge target negates with big welcome's gy effect, to bounce your own card back to your hand, this also triggers your furniture in your gy
Tossing it out there if you continue to play with this. As someone who doesn't net deck and builds my own, I recommend using absolute king back jack, When it's sent to the gy you can stack the top three cards of your deck, then if you can banish in the opponents turn to check the top card if it's a trap card it gets set and can be activated immidetly and if it's not (I.e. Slifer) it gets sent to the gy.)

You played Lab alright for your first time, couple things I just want to note, when you're under a maxx c don't summon Torbie, it's not worth it you'll just get him next turn without giving them a free draw. Also when you're discarding something from a furniture and you already have access to Lovely, just pitch a normal trap since she can set it back for free.

Don’t forget to use maxx c and similar cards before you summon slifer with sky god, could draw extra card(s)
I see the design traits of Yuya in the thumbnail. Makes me wonder how well Slifer pairs with a Pendulum/Odd-Eyes/Magician Deck.

Chaos angel and muckracker helps my lab deck so much.
Chaos angel is not once per turn and linking it off for muckracker who can bring it back = 2 banishes.
Doing this along with the normal lab gameplay is satisfying

Also I’d highly recommend dark magician decks if you plan on doing Slifer/obelisk decks. Easy to use “the True name” in that deck (and crazy content if you guess the top card off the dome)
Free special summon out the deck and makes soul servant not dead turn 1 with no Souls

I've played some of the new god archetypes and honestly win or lose was fun to play - best games are always back and forth rather than an otk
I just use the arcana knights just because they have a quick play spell called "thunderspeed summon" which allows you to add slifer to your hand and summon it on either player's turn. can be bricky at times but the joker cards keep your hand nice and full so slifer will almost always have +3000 atk/def if done right.
I would definitely call by that sky dragon that would be my immediate instinct

Damn i made labrynth specifically to run slifer when the new labrynth support dropped awhile back, i didnt know it was such a meta thing XD btw theres the normal trap that sends one monster from the deck to the GY like foolish burial, can be searched with silver castle and can put slifer in the grave easily, that was one of my combos, use the labrynth spell to return 2 labrynth cards to my deck and set 2 non labrynth traps, set that trap along with sky god and boom, instant slifer

With the recent announcement of budokai tenkaichi 4 they released new god cards in yugioh master duel and i decided to test this new animations. Can i summon Slifer and win the game or will they stop me?
Believe it or not doto that generaider player didn't use arguably one of most busted cards you can use in that deck.
But definitely a fun deck to play, I think you would like it.

Soto I think you’d really enjoy the Generaider archetype. They’re based on a video game boss fights (and Nordic Gods).
Doto, I have a question, does Macchiato scale to Universal++ or Low Complex Universal?
Labrynth was the first truly tiered meta deck I made n it does not disappoint. Definitely cut out the psyfram stuff and play more normal traps, (also you can live without dimension barrier) preferably the deck virus cards because with those and labs ability to search out and retrieve normal traps, you can literally make it so your opponent can’t play. Full Force virus is so easy to use because the lv4 labrynth has 2100 def and is dark type. Lock ur opp out of 1500 or less def monsters 3 turns, eradicate epidemic on ur lv8 labs for locking them out of spells or traps (always pick spells unless u know for a fact ur facing trap trix) and then if ur feeling extra spicy, grinning grave virus on ur 3k attack lab to just say screw all ur monsters for 3 turns. Plus stuff like rivalry of the war lords fits well because in a strict lab build, ur only playing fiends throughout, and pretty much just make it so ur opponent can’t play and with all the quick effect interactions, their turn usually means it’s actually YOUR turn. Also if your not playing slifer build, and still want crazy control boards, 2 kashtira fenrir is the way to go to just be Uber annoying. Also also, the extra deck CAN be useful if u play steelswarm roach, bagooska, dark charmed link, mucracker and beat cop of the underworld since they’re all fiends as well as Zeus and either zombiestein or zombie vampire since they’re dark rank 8 xyz. Hope I helped someone. (Also, try not to use ur welcome cards until the field spell is already out because that literally nerfs urself. U get two pops instead of 1)

I didn't have the balls to play a card that says "give your opponent draws" until I saw this, great video Doto!
(Also, as a labyrinth enjoyer some of your plays physically hurt me, but hey, you're getting there, it'll click eventually 👌)
With Labrynths you can use whatever you want in your extra deck but you should atleast have 1x N'tss, 1x Garura and 3 Muckraker. N'tss gives you an extra pop and Garura gives you an extra draw when using your Dogmatika punishment. Muckracker can bring back Lady or Lovely from the Gy.
