We moved into our house 2 years ago, since day 1 we have had countless spiders. And not the small type, but giant house spiders and brown recluse‘s alike. And in my bedroom specifically, since it used to be an old garage I have had the most. My bedroom has a door to the outside that I leave open quite often because it gets really hot and humid in my room plus when it’s shut it doesn’t seal properly and there’s quite a few gaps spiders can easily get through. The wall is also old and has many cracks and gaps in it as well, my room is also kind of used as storage so it’s always cluttered and has lots of shelving. I’ve tried getting the exterminator out quite a few times ( he is coming to my house again in a week ) and it’s only ever temporary got rid of the problem, I frequently vacuum and mop my room and try to keep it picked up. I have 4 spider traps in my room that always fill up in just a few weeks.I also use essential oil bug spray. And yet I still see multiple spiders a week in just my room! I’m begging someone to give me advice and a solution to my problem help I’m freaking scared the shit of spiders. I’m going to commit die.

Any update? I moved to a new house and I'm in a similar situation. Called 2 different pest control companies and the only thing they did was empty my wallet. I'm so tired of seeing spiders in my bathroom every single night.

@@Tibroxen I declared a state of emergency in my room, and put probably close to 30 spider traps down at once, replacing them as soon as they were full, left them out for a couple weeks. It hasn’t completely solved the problem, but it definitely slowed them down. Now I just keep an eye on 4 different spider traps, replacing them when necessary. Thankfully I can go a month without even seeing a spider now.
I used the sticky pad type spider traps, and they’ve worked great.

@@Zayzanater Yep, can confirm glue traps work! Left a couple in the bathroom, came to check on it in the morning and saw a dozen spiders trapped in both of the traps. Thankfully mine are just very tiny spiders (no idea what species they are). How long did it take for the spiders to finally get the message and stop the invasion?

@@Tibroxen I imagine it won’t be the same, but I left a lot out for a couple weeks, then just reduced to 4 spider traps which I still routinely check on, note I’m dealing with probably a bigger area. I highly suggest you do some research on the type of spiders you’re dealing with as well, know your enemy.

@@Zayzanater Mine's a small bathroom so I think a couple of glue traps should be fine. From what I can see the spiders appear to be plain old jumping spiders, nothing serious like a brown recluse or a black widow. They are still creepy and annoying when they come out in the dozens during the night though hahaha. I'm gonna keep the traps in the bathroom for a couple of weeks like you said, hopefully the little shits take the hint and stop coming inside

Where do you get the glue from to make those insect traps, it's very strange?
It's like a cross between double sided sticky tape and glue. It's not double sided sticky tape because its applied to the traps like a glue (without having straight edges but kinda spread on), but yet it acts like double sided sticky tape, having a grease proof sheet over it before use that when peeled away is a completely clean separation (no residue on the grease proof paper).

Works on brown recluse too ? These things are hard to get rid of...

No they aren't. The only thing making it hard is the female brown recluse that infested your house. They intentionally hide and you need a specific trap for brown recluse spiders and you need to place them everywhere that you've seen them until the female dies and the problem ends. These spiders come in through cracks and crevices, you might need someone to help you completely seal your doors and windows properly.

*I recommend your ant, spider and insect products to everyone I meet, if you guys could take on the bed bug issue that would be great.*
*Had them a year ago and they are gone but so sad you guys don’t cater to that audience specifically.*

I am getting spiders from just one spot. My air con vent. And my bedroom is the only one in the house where they are frequent.. even spider families!
I usually have to remove them daily, and I HATE them. There must be a hole somewhere that they are coming from, as I also smell outside smoke through the vent which should not be happening with a properly installed air con. Anyway, that's a ducted system that was there when the house was bought, and it was weak and useless, so I put a Fujitsu 3.5kw wall one for my bedroom just yesterday and it's perfect.
Now I feel I can safely spray the original vent as I don't use it anymore.
However...... What I am REALLY wanting, since I know that's where they all come from, is to line this 1.5 metre wide rectangular vent with traps all around. But it's on a vertical wall and everything I find is for sitting on the ground. Any ideas? We have the house sprayed yearly professionally mind you, but my room still gets them. Crazy.
Would double sided tape work? If I line the vent around all four sides? Only thing I can think of but I would love ideas!
Thanks in advance! PS I am in Australia so don't have access to most American products.

Does it work on Daddy long leg spiders because I have been getting those spiders in my house

Some improvements but think again. There's no way I'm picking up a trap full of spiders (often not dead - I use standard sticky traps) to empty it! Why on earth put a big picture of a spider on the spray bottle??? The big spiders can escape (after many hours sometimes), so need to be sprayed - something that the trap cover prevents.
